Funny Nicknames

The funniest one I ever heard was the nickname of a friend's father's friend. This guy had a dark birthmark in the middle of his forehead and everyone called him "Ash Wednesday."

:rotfl:

Everyone in my fiance's family calls me Cannoli. Here's the background story:

My name's Nicole, so everyone was calling me Nicoly, until Kenny's brother-in-law *who's Italian* said, "Well, how about we just call her Cannoli?" The nickname stuck. :goodvibes

And no, I never tried a cannoli before either. :p

When I was growing up, everyone in my family called me Yoni or Yoni Cat (long story why) except for my grandfather, who had his own special nicknames for everyone and called me Tubby (because I was stick skinny ;) ).

We call DS Vince "Vincenzo" and DS Patrick "Patricio."

I call my toy poodle Pippin lots of nicknames like "Pipperoni," "Pippini," and "Pipperdoodle."

I call my daughter Petunia (as in Petunia Pig). I know this is terrible. When she was a small baby she had very full cheeks and dark hair and she was chubby--she looked sort of like Petunia Pig. It's just something that has stuck with her for 17 years!

My dad called me "mushy" since I was very little. Don't ask me why, since my name is Michele.
