If you're moving from Neutral that's what you'd do.

So, this is how my new 2026 Nissan Rogue works. There is no transition from Park to Reverse to Neutral to Drive and so on. Instead it is hold a button and push shift forward for Reverse (which is opposite the direction I actually want to go). Hold a button and pull shift backward for Drive (again, opposite the direction I want to go). For Neutral, don't touch the button, just move the shifter. For Park, push a different button. My last car was a 2012, so this is all new to me. It feels counter-intuitive.
