Yes, we did have that, but if anyone thinks that the were as good as AC you would be terribly wrong. It might create a breeze directed at people in the front seat it helped no one in the back seat and it brought in exhaust fumes from cars ahead. The entire situation was elevated by the plastic seat covers that our parents put on the seats, so that the next owner would have pristine upholstery. Between the lack of AC and the seat situation there was a severe epidemic of swamp butt in the 50's that had no cure until auto AC was a common thing. Plus they also scooped up a thousand varieties of bugs headed directly for the drivers face. There was a downside!

Many times I DO only want a small cup of coffee. Any larger and it gets cold before I finish it.

A convenience store sometimes has a promo where all sizes of coffee are the same price. I take a large cup and fill it halfway. Why? Because the first time the cashier scolded me “All sizes are the same price!!! Get the large one!!!” I’m afraid to face her wrath again.

I haven’t gone to that cashier again, but I don’t want to risk the chance that she’s the only one working that day.

Besides, I usually use self checkout now anyway.
