I think that’s why Nov 1st is always an inservice day here. Parents have to deal with there own kids and teachers get peace and quiet.

I went to a Catholic elementary school and November 1 is All Saints Day so we always had it off. It was nice!

Would be nice everywhere. Our county is open for in-service. However, we border the county of the largest city in the state and they are fully open

Sure, but it was always cancelled out by having to go to church on all Saints Day. Used to be a day of obligation. Haven't been for a long time so it might not be anymore.

Well, we really didn't go to mass too much. I went during school. We were Catholic, but we weren't good Catholics. We mostly went to that school because the area public school wasn't very good.
