Weird thing is... I moved to NC in April 2011 and I'll bet that I haven't seen more than two mosquitoes in the last 11 year. Lot's of Gnats and tons of black flies. I don't even remember being bitten by any of them. I have seen spiders the size of Mack Trucks though and those can make you run away.
