I've had to wear TWO pairs of reading glasses to read a medicine label once. Having "old eyes" sucks.

All the time. I'm not allowed to wear reading glasses at work because I have to wear safety glasses. I've asked countless times for them to order reading safety glasses so us older folk can see what we're doing.

Reading the computer is the worst because these days everything is grey text on pastel or light grey backgrounds (just like typing into this reply box right now.) I don't know how many times I've asked someone to double check my settings on the control PC for my equipment while out on the floor because I couldn't confirm I punched in the correct number. Setting it up at 450 psi is good. Setting at 1450 psi because I can't see that I caught the "1" key would be very very VERY bad.

There are other styles for this website that can be selected.



On the bottom left of the page if you click where it says Default main you can select the other styles and see if one is more usable for you.

I prefer Dark Mode so there i snot so much white shining back at me.

That only helps here, not on the millions of other web pages I read, or control screens at work, or on the phone, or on the TV user interface....

There's just been a seemingly ban on black text since all the touch screen phone crap has invaded the Windows PC.

Many websites also allow changing the style or honor the operating system settings. For example when setting the OS to high contrast, most apps and websites will honor the request. The same holds true for phones.

First thing that came to mind was Silence of the Lambs....then I thought of the Bugs Life show at AK!

Totally Silence of the Lambs! I prefer Bugs Life with the cute little guys that make the curtain but when I looked at it in the store all I saw was the poster with the moth over the mouth which looked so odd with a pastel pink glaze.
