things in conversations...
I was talking to a Dis friend who has stayed at various WDW resorts over the years.
She mentioned how the mods use to have Queen beds in the two bed rooms. (Now they use double beds.)
A flash of light!
Then I knew why I kept hitting my legs on the bed at POR! After three times I remembered to steer CLEAR of the bed frame!
The frame has a decorative wood frame that I kept hitting my legs on. Now I know why. The frame was made for a Queen mattress, not what they currently use. The frame was too big for the mattress.
It's often the little things.....:p

I don't ever remember the mods having queen size beds. I think they were longer full sizes. Are they short or standard size now? We stayed at the CBR in April and it was regular full size bed but I was with a friend so we each ahd our own bed and it was no big deal. I don't hink they had foot boards either now that I think of it. I really don't like full size beds any more. I am tall and its a pain have feet falling off the end all night.

mmm...
Always a possibility I misunderstood. ;) :)
I wouldn't have called the foot of the POR (Mansions) bed a footboard.
It was a square, slightly decorative piece of wood at each corner. And they just stuck out enough to bang into them! ;)
After she said that, I realized that the mattresses didn't sit or hang over the frame as you might think. The mattress was slightly smaller, hence the sticking out portion of hard wood. :p
