I thought there was already a thread like this but I couldn't find it, so I'm starting my own.

We heard a couple of funny comments this past weekend on our trip. One couple that was sitting behind us on the boat from PBH to CW were talking about the rides and stuff as he's reading the map. Sounded like they were headed to the parks for the first time. The husband was making some general comments about the rides and starts talking about Spiderman. The wife said that she isn't going on ANYTHING that has any sort of spinning or simulator type ride, and the husband replied, "No, no -Spiderman isn't a simulator and it doesn't spin. You just sit in a car and put 3D glasses on and watch the movie." :rotfl:

Then he starts talking about the Mummy ride and says that "you just sit in a car and the mummies pop out and scare you". At this point I'm cracking up and thinking that this poor man is in for a beating after his wife rides these rides where you "just sit in a car..." as he said. :rotfl2:

I sort of wish now that we had followed them for a while to see her reaction while riding.

Anyway, that's all I can think of for now...

You guys got any??

A lady saw all the superheros come out and asked her husband: "Find out when Wonder Woman comes out...."

Heard this one while in line for BMG this weekend "Do you think Hulk goes upside down?" as it rips through the air in the background.

I was crossing the bridge by the globe when a resort boat was going under the bridge. A man was telling his son that those were the boats they would take to get to Disneyworld tomorrow.

 :sad2:

Thanks for remembering to start this Melissa :thumbsup2

To make a long story short, I was walking behind a man and woman over the bridge by Hulk and I heard him say to her, "There's a Spiderman ride here?"

Oh, and I agree about the husband in for the beatin' tellin' his wife "all was okay" with the rides.... :rolleyes1

Here's one I told the gang on Friday:

In line for DD one day, I was behind a British family. The mother saw the sign and asked what the Baby Swap area was. Her daughter...probably 10-12 yo or so said...that's where you can leave your child and take another! :lmao:

:lmao: in some sick way, that is STILL funny!

this is a great thread......I could only imagine some of the things we have heard at one time or another!!

I need to think about this, I can't remember yesterday morning, so thinking back to our trips will take some more coffee :coffee:

We saw a family with a (fairly) elderly lady at the lockers for Duelling Dragons. She was asking asking one of the kids in the family why she needed to put her handbag in the lockers and he said it was so it didn't get pinched! Poor old lady, I would love to have seen her face when she got off the ride - if the queue hadn't been so long we might have stayed to see!

We also saw someone on the Bilge-rat Barges laughing at her brother, who was crying, as he was soaked and she was quite dry. So, we went to work with the water jets to even the score a bit!

My DW got me good.DD Ice,she told me there is not a lift hill.So i go on it...

THERE IS A LIFT HILL..Sure you can see it before you get on ,Butshe said it donn't drop you right away.Boy was I in for a ride...

The best ride is the Hulk,no lift just get shot out like cannon, and game on..

Did hear someone say inline what if the harness breaks, would the water break your fall:eek: Needless to say she did not ride:lmao: That was funny...

Are you sure that wasn't said in jest - that is seriously the sort of stuff our family joke about like that :rotfl:

This doesn't quite fit in the "overheard" category, but it's one of my favorite stories about UO so I'll tell it anyway.

The first time I took my sweet, gentle wife to T2-3D, we had the following conversation as we exited.

Me: Wasn't that great?
DS: No! It was loud, violent and pointless.
Me: Exactly! Wasn't it great?

Hehe, isn't that what entertainment is all about!!!
