I need a fun place to take my 10 and 11 DS's . They think everything is boring. We tried Whispering Canyon last year and they did not enjoy themselves. Is there anything more mature but yet not too mature that they might enjoy. Maybe Sci-FI???

Our oldest DD really enjoys 50's PTC but if your kids didn't enjoy WCC they may not enjoy this one either. She also loves 'Ohana.

I think Sci Fi is a good choice! Is there a certain park you would like to be in for this meal, or just anywhere?

At MGM, I think Sci Fi would be your best bet for sit down, or Pizza Planet for counter service.
At Mk there is really only Pecos Bills that is sorta "boyish"....they might be too cool for Pooh at that age!
At Epcot, they might like Teppanyaki...with all those flying knives and all, they might think that was neat.
At AK, there really is limited options for dinning, but there is the Rain Forest Cafe that is an adventure if they haven't done that before.

At DTD, you could try Planet Hollywood, or the House of Blues.
At the Board Walk there is the ESPN Club (we really like it there), if they are into sports.

Tell me about Teppanyaki... Flying knives??? Now that sounds like what they would like...

I haven't been to Teppanyaki in Epcot but I have been to my local Japenese rest. and I know they are quite similar (although no one can compare to Disney I'm sure). The table you sit at also has a hibachi where they cook all your food right in front of you. While they cook it they do fun things with the food and throw ther utensils around. At my local rest. they even throw the food into each persons mouth and they rarely miss. Awesome experience!! I was very disappointed that we didn't have time to try this rest. on our trip in January. Guess we will just have to go back :teeth: Happy planning!!

Hey I just noticed your user name is Anabelle. Is that your name? I have a 17 month old daughter named Annabelle. Just wondering because it's not a very common name. Have a great day.

Hehe! I thought they might like that.... :flower:

Teppanyaki is a dinning room in the World Showcase where you sit around a teppon (sp?) table and they cook to food right in front of you. (Like Benihana's if you have ever heard of them.) The chef slices and dices everything with skill and speed, it is a fun thing to watch. He puts on a "show" of cooking the food. We haven't been there is several years, but when we were there our DD's were very impressed with this whole process. They serve fried rice, chicken, beef or shrimp, along with other stuff....

My DS loves ESPN and Sci-Fi. He thinks he is "too cool" for character meals. I guess that makes me an adult geek because I love them! princess: pirate: :earboy2:

Since they are cooking the food right there, are they preparing it to your specifications? Or just cooking food for everyone, the way it's listed on the menu?

If we could tell them which ingredients we like and dislike, I think this might be a fun restaurant for my family :)

Please share your experiences. thanks! :)

Anabelle - can you tell me what you're kids didn't like about WCC? I've suggested this restaurant for 4 kids ages 7, 13,14 & 16 - yikes! now I'm a bit worried.

50's Prime Time Cafe should be fun. Ask for Cousin Mark. He's really into his role.
