Hi all! I'm working on planning a trip next June for my family (myself, husband, 11 year old son) and my inlaws (SIL, BIL, 13 year old niece, 9 year old nephew). We are staying off-site using their timeshare points, so we would like to do something to say "thanks" to them for pretty much giving us a place to stay. We have decided to do three meals onsite and pay for them (we might eat on-site other times, but these will be our treat), so I'm brain-storming and trying to get some ideas.
Here's the criteria: Not that we want to be cheap about this, but with 7 people, it might be nice to do something a little less expensive (no signatures). We want it to be fun! Something that they whole crew will enjoy. Dietary restrictions? No seafood. (I wanted to do Cape May Cafe, but that kind of rules that out). Kids will be 9, 11, and 13, so characters aren't a necessity and the niece is about as opposite of a princess as you can get.
We have two main ideas, but are willing to trade one out if something else presents itself. Also, we need a third idea and I need some help!
1) Rose & Crown - It's our family's favorite place. My husband and SIL spent some summers in England, so we thought this would be fun for them. Plus, good variety of food for everyone involved, and we have found it to be fairly reasonable in price.
2) 50s Prime Time - We have never been here, but the menu looks great (Esp. the prices) and I thought the whole "family" thing would be a hoot as we live across the country from each other and rarely get to do the whole "family dinner" thing.
3) Help?
Thanks in advance.
