Fun Mapping Tool (was BCV, BWV walking distance)

For those folks who like playing with maps and online tools, check out gmap pedometer. Allows you to overlay a path onto satellite or road maps and measure distances. Here's one I created showing that the walk along the path from the BWV clown pool to the MGM gate is about .7 miles:

No special software - it's built all built into the www.gmap-pedometer.com site. It takes a while to learn the controls but once you get used to it, it's great.

Very neat! From our room at BWV last year, it was about .5 mile to the Epcot entrance and .6 mile to the Studios; I thought it was pretty even but I wasn't sure. (We were all the way at the front end of the standard view room wing, by the tennis courts.)
