Fun family friendly resort on a Florida beach..suggestions?

Usually we do WDW for spring break but are thinking of going to the beach next year instead since our break falls right after Easter.

Can anyone suggest a fun beach resort for kids of all ages that won't break the bank! We like to have lots to do while on vacation. I know we would enjoy the beach for a few hours everyday but pools,slides,other activities would be needed.

We prefer not to go much further than Ft. Lauderdale as we're driving from Ohio. TIA for any suggestions you can send my way!

I don't know what the cash price is like, but Disney's Veto Beach Resort is nice and family friendly. If you don't mind a slight risk, you might be able to get a deal by renting someone's points. Check out the DVC rent/ trade board on this site.

We found a lovely resort in Naples that we loved. It's a bit pricey but during the spring/summer they run specials. The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club is gorgeous! Right on the beach and has a very homey feel to it.

I always recommend the Sandestin Golf and Beach resort in the Sandestin/Destin area. It is beautiful. They have some great specials and are very family friendly. We have stayed there 3 times and have never had one complaint. There is so much to do in the area of the reosrt as well as in the city itself.
