DS has certainly bloomed since my last visit to “Downtown Disney” 3 years ago and there’s so many new restaurants. Is there anything that has something fun (like over-the-top decorated milkshakes) for kids? Something with a wow factor? We are not interested in Rainforest Cafe. Tia!

The bands and dancers in Raglan Road can be fun (also quite loud, if that’s an issue). We also like Boathouse... sitting outside can be fun, watching the amphicars. Food-wise, Boathouse has a very over the top S’mores Baked Alaska... it’s $40 and feeds 4. If you google, there are tons of pictures. I haven’t tried it but I’ve heard that Splitsville has surprisingly great food - kids might get a kick out of bowling and eating.

Planet Hollywood while not the best restaurant at DS does offer a variety of over the top milkshakes. Here's a photo of them.

There is a cupcake ATM that is pretty cool and the coca cola store also has some fun drinks.

As far as restaurants, my kids enjoyed T-Rex and Splitsville. And I'll agree with PP, the food at Homecomin' can't be beat!
