When you die your hair still grows for a couple of months.

Each of the suits on a deck of cards represents the four major pillars of the economy in the middle ages: heart represented the Church, spades represented the military, clubs represented agriculture, and diamonds represented the merchant class.

i'm not sure if it's just nails or nails and hair, but nails don't grow after death, the skin around them just dehydrates and shrinks, giving the appearance of them growing.

I was gonna say the paper thing but they said normal paper. I know it works with huge and thin paper. xD

Your right. My mom has worked with cadavers and says when after you die your body starts to shrivel and shrink giving the appearance your nails and hair have grown.... but all cellular activity in the body does cease so decomposition may begin.
