Fun arm workout suggestions?

I found last night that after doing 25 minutes of Tai Chi, my legs felt like they had a good workout, but my arms felt left out. :( I know I won't use any weight machines or anything like that, I don't even know that I would use those little hand weights. Any suggestions for some *fun* stuff I could do to give my upper body a workout when my lower body already feels like it's done but the upper isn't? (Can I get that any more confusing... :p )

Weights don't have to be heavy to give a good workout. I have 1, 2, 3, 5, and 8 pound dumbbells - and the lightest ones work just fine in the beginning. I like the books and videos by Joyce Vedral: www.joycevedral.com

I'm not sure if it's fun but I usually just use my weights while I watch TV ... it doesn't really seem like work to me when I'm watching a show :p

I have some of those light weights that strap around ankles or wrists and then just wear them around the house - you start to notice after about 30 mins of housework!!!

Or just wear them when you are doing a cardio workout.

What about old fashioned push-ups? They not only work your arms, but your chest. They are definitely not easy, but I have worked my way up to doing 20 and it feels great!

Lets see if I can explain this one right. Another exercise I like to do is to sit on a sturdy coffee table or chair (or equivalent), place the palm of your hands on the table by your side, take your butt off the table and with your legs out and your knees bent in front of you, lower your butt towards the floor. Lower and raise your body with your arms only. Does that make sense? This exercise is great for your triceps!

I know what you mean about the arms being left out! I'm too cheap to buy weights b/c I don't think I'd use them enough....so I use cans of green beans or corn as my weights during my WATP tapes!

Also, another KINDA fun workout is Bellydance. I got a video at the library to try out...it was HARD but fun. I was very inhibited the first time I did it, but I think I'd loosen up the more I did it. I TOTALLY KILLED my arms!!!!

We're probably going to be joining our local YMCA soon and I'm looking forward to using arms and abs machines there.

I'm thinking I'll look for some of those light-weight weights you can strap on your arms, and maybe put those on during Tai Chi. I tried just holding two full bottles of water during the warmup and qigong (I call them "focus") exercises yesterday, but holding those will not work for the foundation moves as the hands need to be free to move.
