Fun and yummy resturants near the park

We enjoy the Buca di Beppo up by the Embassy Suites for a fun family style Italian meal.

Personally we're always underwhelmed by the Rainforest Cafe.
We are unimpressed by The Rainforest Cafe too. When the children were small we tried them on vacations and always found the food ok, but the volume is deafening.

One of our favorate off site restaurants is Bennihanas. They do have them all over the world so not sure about NZ. They are a ton of fun for a great family dinner.

That's a good one. If you haven't seen this style of Japanese resturaunt I'd highly recommend it. Could get expensive for dinner but not something you would forget.

Not sure about all the locations but the closest Bennihanas to Disneyland I believe is on Ball Rd, about 2 or 3 miles east of Disneyland.

I agree, it can be expensive but well worth it. It's always a kids favorate and the great food is tops for adults too.

Are there any other teppanyaki restaurants nearby? Bennihanas is great but they don't use fire in their shows any longer which was always a high point with the kids!

fyi if you don't want to do the silly bday thing at Joe's just tell them no thanks, they won't force you. I got to ride a little stick pony around the restaurant while they sang to me. LMAO!!!! It was hilarious!!!

We just returned from the parks, and a great trip. The first night (a Friday), we left DCA about 8pm to get some dinner, and thought we'd go to Rainforest cafe in DTD. When we got there , it was packed as usual, and we thought we'd try something else. I remembered a couple of good reveiws for Tortilla Joe's, no lines out front, and we like Mexican food (and we were starving!). We waited maybe 5 mins., were seated and lots of the best chips ever were brought to the table with great salsa too. We stuffed ourselves on chips, and had to take so much food to go.;)
The food was great! Most combo meals were around $12-$13, they did have a kids menu also. The bill was about $70 for 3 adults, and 2 kids. (only one child ordered a meal)
I also want to say this may have been some of the best sevice I ever had! We were very impressed.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
Yes, three thumbs up!
