We will be at WDW for DD's 6th birthday. She despratly wants to go to Sci-Fi at Studios but I'm weary about the food...I've read way too many bad reviews. We did Cindy's Table last year and she doesn't like character meals (I know, right?!?!).

I'll take any suggestions because I'm at a loss....BTW, I could live on Dole Whips for the week but DH is a total food snob :snooty:

HELP!!!

If she really wants to go there, I would go for it! We went in 2007. I agree w/ some reviewers that the food was not great, but my kids LOVED the place. They loved sitting in the cars and watching the cheesy movies. We are going back this trip, but I am going to plan for lunch so we can get a burger, because, really, what could you do to a burger. (Not on dinner menu) The appetizers and shakes we got last time were really good, just the entrees were lame. I think both myself and DH had the hanger steak, which neither of us enjoyed. :sad2: We both were thinking, Wish I had a burger!

Since it's her birthday, I would let her pick where she wants to go.

Just a side note, I have read on several different threads that lots of people have been having a hard time getting an ADR at Sci-Fi. Nobody seems to know why, but you might want to have a back-up just in case. :)

I remembered Sci-Fi from my college days and in Jan took my six year old son - he still talks about the funny movies - the cars - the milkshakes and the waitress on rollerskates - We had a ton of ADRS - Tusker house - Ohanas- Chef Mickeys even t-REX to name a few and this is the one he loved - remeber it is burgers, fries, shakes - all favorite six year old food. I have the cutest pictures of him eating popcorn at the movies - we had some left over from the block party bash.
We all do crazy things for our kids - chalk it up to that and see what happens!:thumbsup2

We LOVE the burgers and milkshakes at the Sci-fi cafe. We haven't been there in 2 years so I don't know if it has changed. If it's her birthday let her choose where she wants to eat. What are some of the foods she likes?
