Fulton's Crab House

We enjoyed our meal there last November. Actually we didn't like the calamari, but we did like everything else. I had the Alaskan King Crab legs and DH had the filet and added a lobster tail. We both had the milk chocolate creme brulee for dessert. It was a bit overpriced.

Okay, how about "absolutely revolting"? My kids say "yucky doodle" when they don't like something! Not one good meal that night. Sigh...

Well now that is how I'd describe that cesspool they call Cap'n Jacks!

Fulton's is definately overpriced but you go there knowing that in advance. We have been going there at least once a year since 2000 and have never had a bad experience. We love the food and the service.

I'm reading this and am thinking "yucky doodle" is a perfect phrase for not liking something.

It is expensive! But I really liked the food, and have been wanting to go back!

we went on a spur and didnt have to wait long for a table either. I lost the recipe they give you for the butter/dip whatever it was. It was so good, that I wanted to make it at home.

Need to search for that recipe!!:rotfl:

I just have to throw in my 2 cents on Fultons:

We have eaten there every trip we've taken (4x's) to WDW.

First off, we love the paddle wheel theming, the decorations, the old b/w fishing photos, the lakefront view, the shipping papers posted to show how fresh the fish is, and the wait staff dressed in their fancy white outfits.

We found the service to be top notch.

Let me say, we're from Chicago where there are excellent service restaurants and some of the nation's best seafood haunts (Bob Chinn's is a fav). We know great service and great food.

At Fulton's we always have the lobster bisque. The waiter brings the empty bowls first, then places the lobster in each of them so you can see how much you get. This is followed by a brass decanter of the bisque poured hot over the lobster meat. Excellent presentation.

Our meals came covered and were placed on the table and all three covers were then removed at the same time with a flourish.

Our drinks never went dry, our water glasses were always promptly refilled.

I had split King Crab legs and they were the best I've ever had. Why? Because they were only the first joint (the most meat), they were cut in half with the meat exposed. There were 2 lbs. of them and it was mostly all meat because there was half the usual shell weight and no joints and no claws to make up the 2 lbs. I couldn't finish them, there was so much! My DW and DD had to help me eat them!

Compared to Bob Chinn's here in the Chicago area, Fulton's was CHEAP!

Compared to other top notch Florida restaurants I've eaten at (LeverRocks, Cap'n Hiram's, and others on the Gulf Coast, Daytona, and Miami), I would rather go to Fulton's!

I don't see where people say they had bad service or lousy food or it was too expensive. Yes, it's one of the more expensive places to eat in WDW, but it's that type of restaurant.

Some people are happy with burgers/fries or pasta and they want to pay $15 for a meal and consider that expensive.

Next time we're at WDW, we'll be going to Fultons again. We look forward to it!pirate:

We ate there on Sunday and have dined many timed before. As mentined, it is pricey, it was $160 before tip for myself, DH, my mom and my 5 year old. This is what we got, to give a prespective.... Mom and I got Grilled Shrimp, Hubby got grilled shrimp w/lobster ravioli, DS got chicken fingers. Hubby and I got the cold seafood platter for an app (at $16.95 per person...we have gotten it before and it's yummy) and mom got lobster bisque. The bisque was not in the presentation that was previously mentioned. They did not put the lobster out before the bisque. They brought out the empty bowl and put the bisque into it from the decanter. I got a martini and my mom got something w/peach schnapps. Hubby got a corona.

Our service has always been wonderful. We noticed on this trip how the menu has shrunk!! There use to be a lot more choices. The last time we were there was probably 12/05. This seemed to be the theme of many of the restaurants we went to.

We love Fultons. We go every time we go to Disney. We really like the food and our servers have always been great. It is a bit pricey, but we think it is well worth it. We live in Chicago and if you think Fultons is bad, try going to the Signature Room in Chicago. Our food there was so so, and it took almost 3 hours for dinner. No alcohol and for 3 of us (one teen) and our bill was almost $400. :scared1: So to us, Fultons isn't too bad of a price.

Fulton's is a must for us at least once a trip. Both the food and service has always been wonderful.

I already plan Fulton's for lunch one day so hoping its good. I dont have to pay because I am the dinning plan.

I love Fulton's and go there every trip to Disney and even trips to the Orlando area when Disney is not involved I make sure I get to Fulton's. Yes, it is expensive but I feel its worth it.

BTW, correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Fulton's wasn't on the DDP.

It isn't on the dining plan unless you are getting the platinum plan.

I didn't think the prices were out of line at all, but then we dine out a lot, so I have a lot to compare it with. But we DID get lousy food at Fulton's, and we got the worst service we have ever gotten ANYWHERE we have ever eaten. The time we went before the food and service were impeccable. This time, however, it was horrible.

My family loves this restaurant and the Crab Claws - It is a must on every trip!! Sometimes the waiters are less than available but you get that everywhere.

As for price - Yes, it is expensive, but so is a hot dog at Disney!!

Fulton's is a must do for us too. We missed it on one trip and vowed to never again! It's usually our last night's meal. I get the crab cakes everytime! YUM!

We had the 3 absolutely worst experiences of any restaurant there, with a few years between tries, hearing how 'wonderful' it was online. After being served cold, rotting food last time, taking half an hour for the waiter to take it back and fix it, and then getting charged for another meal we did not order or receive, and having the manager take the waiters' side, we will NEVER set foot in Fulton's Crap House again!
