Fulton's Crab House vs. Cap'n Jack's?

Hello,

Just wondering which has a better ambiance and bang for its buck, for a party of 4 at dinner, either Fulton's or Cap'n Jacks.

Is there a (adult) beverage menu available for both?

Everything is just better at Fulton's. I have never had a good meal or good service at Cap't Jacks. For me and my family it is the worst restaurant on Disney Property. Fulton's may be a little more pricey but we have never been let down by a meal there and we make it a point to eat there every trip.

100% agree! Capt'n Jack's was by far the worst meal we have ever had at Disney. I am surprised it is still open. When we went, we were about the only people there and now I know why. There were 4 adults and my 6 year old nephew. By the end, everyone was drooling at my nephews PBnJ sandwich. The salmon was way overcooked. The pot roast had a giant/HUGE piece of fat in it and the green beans had some sort of fish bone in it.

Agree. Worst Disney meal I have had.

I only ate at CJ's once, maybe about three and a half years ago. I had crab cakes with asparagus and baked potato or mashed potatoes or something. I enjoyed my meal but the waitress was not pleasant and the place smelled musty and the décor seemed very worn. The place was in dire need of refurbishment! I do not recall hearing that they have done any redecorating so I assume it is still pretty run down. Fulton's on the other hand is always good! It feels much more elegant and the service and food are both always good.

Fulton's hands down!!!
We ate at Cap'n Jack's in the early 90's and it was great. We went back a few times. But it has not kept up with the times.
It seems that as Disney Springs unfolds, Cap'n Jack's will be replaced.

Same as everyone else it seems. We ate at Captn Jacks twice (2008 & 2012). 2008 was great and so we went back last Sept and it was just...meh. The food wasn't good and the service was horrible. 11:30 AM for lunch and it was us and two other tables in the entire place.

It took 15 mins to get them to take our drink order and another 10 mins to come back (with fountain soda no less). Our lunch arrives cold and over cooked another 45 mins later. The icing on the cake was it took 20 mins after we had to ask for it to get the bill. So, lunch for 2A2C took almost 2 hours. This is only one of a handful of times that I have ever left less than a 20% tip. I think if I remember correctly I left $5 on a $70 bill.

ETA: and because it took so long we almost missed our DME time.

NOTE: Jack's is GREAT for appetizers and cocktails. Tasty appys and
great view over the water. For meals, pass it by. And pass by quickly.
The service is mixed, and the dinner food quality is well below average.
I give good and bad reviews of eateries, but Cap'n Jack's is only one of
the few places in WDW that I actually recommend against for meals.

Fulton's hands down! It's a must go to every trip. Love the stone crabs! We go for lunch, prices are a bit less than dinner but anything you would like off the dinner menu they will make for you. Service is great (we always ask for JIll), love the view from the upper dining room.

No comparison to Capt. Jacks.

I can't believe all the negative Captain Jack's posts. I love Captain Jacks. We've always had very friendly waiters/waitresses. The dinner's always been the best seafood we ever had no matter what we chose. It is a tradition for my mom and I to go there every time we go to Orlando. It has a friendly, casual atmosphere but dinner that seems like it came from a fancy restaurant.

used to be one of our favorites but it went down hill drastically and we would never go there again. Fulton's (when it was Empress Lilly) was the best place in Downtown Disney for food. It's still good and we eat there for lunch a couple of times a year. Lunch is much more affordable that dinner

I've never been to Cap n' Jacks so Fulton's all the way! It's probably the more expensive choice but it's worth every dollar. No matter where you are, you're going to have to pay a good bit to get quality seafood. If you're seafood fans, I always recommend Fulton's over any DD restaurant actually and definitely as one of the best on property.

Sounds great we are trying Fultons for the first time on our upcoming trip in August.
