Fultons crab House on DDP

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been asked, I did search but didn't see it, anyone know for sure if Fultons Crab house is on the DDP for Jan 2011, just loaded the Fultons page on the Disney site and it says DDP accepted but I'm just a bit worried if it may be an error, as previously, I've searched restaurants in the DD area and ckecked the 'only list restaurants on DDP' box and Fultons has come up on the list even though it said on the Fultons page that DDP was not accepted or maybe I'm just being incredibly stupid!

It's more of a glitch than the fact that they accept the standard dining plans.

It's confusing how Disney does it. You really need to follow through a few steps to get to the 'bottom' of it.

Quite a few restaurants that don't accept the traditional Dining Plans show up when you select "Only show restaurants participating in the Disney Dining Plan."

When you roll your mouse over them there is a circle that has a check mark in it with a line through it with a note "Dining Plan Not Accepted"

When you click on the name of the restaurant, for example Fulton's says Dine Plan: "View Dining Plan Information". When you click on View Dine Plan Information there is a pop up box which shows that the Premium and Platinum plans are accepted.

I checked DDP only restaurants for the Grand Floridian shows availability for Victoria & Albert's. A similar check for Downtown Disney and Portobello also shows up the same way. Both restaurants only accept the Platinum (V&A) or Premium and Platinum (Portobello) plans.

I think that the issue basically is that Disney considers the Premium and Platinum plans to be dining plans, even though most of us wouldn't consider them in the 'normal' realm of dining plans.

The Premium and Platinum package plans aren't part of the Disney Dining plans. But they do use their own dining credits, so Disney has apparently them lumped in with the dining-only plans as far as the website is concerned.

I think they should change this, as it may result in a lot of DDP customers finding out too late that Fulton's (and Portobello and T-Rex) really doesn't accept the dining plan.

We were really looking forward to Surf and Turf....anyone know of a restaurant that has Surf and Turf on the regular plan, that isn't inside a Park? We won't have a Park Hopper, so Magic Kingdom would be our only option.

Narcoossee's is the only DDP restaurant that has Surf and Turf on the regular Dining Plan. It's a 2 credit location though...

Something I've been doing to help--I have the 2011 DDP pulled up. Now last time I talked to a reservations person (about 2 weeks ago), she said the final date for restaurants to "opt in" to the plan had not come up yet, and to keep an eye out in January as to a final list. So I have my fingers crossed just in case.

We plan on Fulton's OOP... (DF is lucky I love him, he wants the king crab claws! ) I just keep telling myself that's a day we can save the credit and eat at a Signature later.

Fulton's was on the DDP in 2005. In 2006 they dropped out. This is the only restaurant to ever drop dining plan participation. I would not count on their accepting DDP in 2011.

Last year, the final brochure came out on 12/30.
