The more research I do, the less I see this restaurant mentioned. Has anyone been recently or plan to go?

I HAVE BEEN THERE 2 TIMES BEFORE AND PLAN TO GO IN JULY WITH FRIENDS FOR MY BIRTHDAY. IT IS VERY COSTLY BUT WORTH THE PRICE FOR ME. MY KIDS LOVE SEAFOOD SO THEY ARE ALSO HAPPY TO BE THERE :grouphug:

If you do a search, you can find my review...i went there in the beginning of May for an anniversary dinner and honestly, it was the WORST meal i have had at WDW. Keep in mind, they are not actually owned by WDW...just at the DTD property...i think they lease.

I am not picky, I have had delightful dinners at Boma, Jiko, Cirtricos, Portabellos, Artist's Point. After DH and I left Fulton's we felt VIOLATED...LOL! Please look for my review (I wish I could post a link...I am clueless as to how I do that. Believe me, if you knew how computer illiterate I am, you would be amazed I can even post on a message board) and you will see that a majority (not all) of posters agreed with me.

Good food is relative to where you live. I found, as a New Englander that the seafood was AWFUL and expensive. That is a double threat in my book. However, I`ve probably loved some steaks mid westerners would not feed to their dogs. So take what I say with a grain of salt.

I think for around the same price you could get some better seafood at the Contemporary( and some good wine too). But overall, I think Orlando is a culinary wasteland, unless a character is involved, (or you go to the contemporary) so save your money and if you want some seafood go to England at EPCOT and get some fish and chips.

We went for our Honeymoon in 2001 and are going back in three days! We are very excited...it's the one restaurant we are looking forward to the most! We are from the Southwest so super fresh seafood is far and inbetween, but we definitely loved this place.

Correct, they are owned by Levy out of Chicago. We went in January and were very pleased with the quality (not the greatest service but by no means horrible).

I have to agree with Claroquesi when I lived in Miami Fulton's probably wouldn't have scored as high with me, but here in the Midwest we are fresh seafood deprived so it sure hit the spot for me. We did have 2 PS's for our upcoming trip in June but I canceled one and reserved at Citrico's mostly because of the varying reports. Lack of consistency really bugs me about a restaurant.

We usually go on our first night at WDW. We love the food and the atmosphere. Last trip we sat outside and I really liked it, some ducks kept swimming by. This trip we were going to try Camp May the first night(staying at BCV) but after reading this I am going to book Fulton's instead.

Fultons:
THis place USED to look like a riverboat when it was the Empress Lilly. Now--I'm not sure what it looks like. Sort of like a boat, but --.
Anyway-food pretty good, inside nice looking, service absolutely the WORST in any WDW restaurant.
Skip it if you possibly can.

We/I *always* go every time without fail.

We were there in August 2002 and had a great meal with excelletn service. We got there right around PM and had not wait.

Has the appearance or ownership changed since then?

Ate there in October. Terrible service, food was okay. Considering the cost there are many places I would recommend over this place!

I only wish it had :) :) :)

Actually we've done Fultons ever since it opened. Started off poor and went quickly downhill from there. Only spot in WDW where the staff seems to hardly care if you ever came back. I gave this place a chance FOUR times--but that's it. Never again!!
Have a look at pics of the Empress Lilly and then look at the '"Crab House" version. Sad---.

We ate there in February for our last night meal with our 7 year old before our flight home to England. We liked it, thought the seafood was very fresh - our daughter said the fish and chips were great! Service was a bit pretentious - as if you were expected to think it was all wonderful, but even so, we had a good meal. We are British, so we don't do over the top about these things! Had fantastic martinis to start! Hope you enjoy it. :rotfl2:

WE go every time we visit WDW. DH loves seafood and I hate it so this is the one place where he can get his fish fix and I can have the yummy rotisserie chicken.
:)

Recently had lunch there and thought it was okay. When we have had dinner there I wasn't much impressed. In all cases service was very lackadaisical

Me and dh were looking so forward to eating here. We finally had lunch the day before we left and it was awful. Service wasn't that good and the food was just bad. Me and Jake aren't big drinkers and when they saw we weren't ordering alcohol I feel like they kind of rushed our meal along...

For the money it costs to eat there I can think of a ton of other places that I will give my business to.

My family eats there every year. We usually save it for the end of our trip. We have enjoyed it everytime! When it was the Empress Lily my husband got food poison........(on our honeymoon)!!! Ever since, it has been GREAT! You'll never know untill you try it! :mickeybar
