Fulton closing for long remodel

I recieved a call today from Fultons. We had a 4/4 ADR for dinner. The called stated that they are starting a long rehab starting 4/4 and going until Nov. 2016. He wanted to see if we could switch our ADR. Sadly we are not arriving until the evening on 4/3. Disappointed we have to miss a favorite but he promised it will be even better when we go in Dec. 2016.

1) They are laying off ALL employees between April 4th and April 14th (staggered).
2) They are officially on furlough (aka, out of a job).
3) They can re-apply for the re-opening, but guaranteed a job.

Assuming you meant "not" guaranteed a job?

I'm actually surprised it took this long for you to get a phone call. This information of the closing has been out for some time and I would have thought you would have heard something from them much sooner.

I had a ressie for 5/5 and they didn't call, I switch to boathouse upon hearing the news online!

I think they give people time to change after announcing then notify the rest. Cuts down on the number of people they have to call. Since you changed it, they didn't need to call.

I'd love for them to adopt a Creole/Cajun/New Orleans menu a la Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen at Downtown Disney/Disneyland. Makes sense on a riverboat!

I have an ADR for June 10 and it still shows in MDE and there is nothing on the Disney site announcing it's closing. I have never gotten a call. I read about this online as well and made a second ADR for this night but I'm curious how long it will go before they notify me. They can't assume everyone follows this type of info on the web.

Having a reservation in the third week of April at Fulton's, we contacted them by EMAIL around mid February....

Fulton's WILL be closed in April, reopening as something, in Fall 2016. As we really wanted a GREAT shellfish location? We re-booked to Shula's .
Oh yes - beyond STEAK? Shula's has killer Lobster offerings .

Sorry about the staff being "furloughed" as many of them have been there a long time. -- hopefully we'll se them back We enjoy Fulton's and go there every time we visit, but the spaces are definitely due for a rehab, so good to see that it's being reworked.
