Full Size or Mini Van Rental--HELP!

Flying into MCO on Wednesday, December 8th/Returning the car on Friday, December 17th. We have always used Tiffany Towncar. Want to do more offsite things during this trip. Have 2 adults and 3 children. We have never rented a car with this many people. WOW! The prices on the rental car sites are staggering.

Any experts out there have some advice? Any deals for these dates?

Usually when I am looking for a rental I will go to www.orbitz.com and type in the information and see what comes up. For your dates I came up with a rate of $273 for a full size through National. Now I would next go to www.mousesavers.com and look up any coupons or discounts that can be applied to the $273 rate. On that site they list any coupons that can be applied or codes. Also a way to sign up for the Emerald Club and how to apply the best coupons.

But the important thing to do is to make an initial reservation and then keep on checking back and make adjustments where you can. I have heard a lot of people say that the closer to their trip the lower the rates get. Hope it helps.

Wanted to add that I went back in and use the Priceless code that is on the Mousesavers site and it brought the rate down to 227.54. (That was directly on the National website) Hope that helps. Another $50 saved is another $50 to spend somewhere else.

Hi! I don't know if you happen to have a Disney Visa but if you use their Alamo coupon you get unlimited mileage, and an additional driver for no extra $$. I didn't know your time of arrival or departure so I randomly picked 9 am for both. The full-size comes in at 217.85, and the minivan 312.71. I think they're pretty good rates. Better than I got for 11 days June 23 thru July 4.

It comes in every mailing that I get from Disney Visa. It is an actual coupon in the Disney Rewards booklet.
