I'm helping a friend look for dates for a cruise in March of 2016. I've noticed the Fantasy has a week that is unaccounted for. Does this mean the cruise is already full or could the ship possibly be in dry-dock for a week? It's the week of March 19th I'm looking at.

Which week aren't you seeing? I just did a search and found cruises on March 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th.

I'm seeing a Fantasy cruise on March 19, 2016 on the DCL website. It's a Western itinerary with Star Wars. Only category I'm seeing as unavailable is Concierge.

One thought, how many people is your friend looking to book? Possibly there are no rooms available to hold the number of people she has in her party?

That's what I'm thinking. If she's looking for 5 people, the cruise won't show up if there aren't any staterooms left available that sleep 5. Have her search for 3 or 4.

ETA: I just ran searches on various numbers of cruisers. The 19th showed up for 2, 3, and 4 people, but disappeared when I put in 5.

She's going to need 2 staterooms which our family of 5 much prefers anyway, plus it's not that much more expensive than one larger room for 5.

We are on the cruise beginning March 19th. It is Spring Break, which already increases its popularity, but it is also a Star Wars cruise. (Which they announced AFTER we booked it, lucky for us!)

Thanks everyone. Yes, I was looking for a family of 5 which is why it was not showing up. I'll look for 2 and 3 and see what happens but I can't begin to imagine that it's only slightly more as the room of 2 automatically charges the price of 2 adults. Basically they would need to pay 4 adult fares and 1 child fare. Would be wonderfully surprised if that wasn't much more than other weeks where they can find 1 room for their family of 5.

Thanks again. Off to look for prices.

Thanks everyone. I looked into the option of 2 staterooms and it's a HUGE price! Between the fact that it's around Easter, a Star Wars cruise and more it takes their trip well out of budget as it almost doubled the price. Thanks for suggesting this though.
