Full cleaning on day 4?

I'm pretty sure it's always been day 8 in the past. They didn't change our bedding yesterday - then last night they said they'd do it today. Came back from the park to find it still not done - then they told me that full cleaning was on day 4, I know no one has given us clean bedding since we got here. Now they're saying they're going to do a full cleaning, but their kind of acting like I'm being a nuisance... Very surprised. I've never had anything but great service here before.

How many nights are you staying?

From All-Ears:http://allears.net/acc/dvcstudioamenities.htm

Trash & Towel Service - For stays of seven or less nights, Trash & Towel Service is provided on day four. With Trash & Towel service, Housekeeping will: Empty trash and replace liners in trash bins, provide fresh bathroom linens, replace shampoo, facial soap and bath soap, replenish facial tissues, paper towels and toilet paper, replenish coffee, sugar, cream and sweeteners, replenish dishwashing liquid, dishwashing detergent, sponges and laundry detergent as needed in one-, two- and three-bedroom Vacation Homes.

Full Cleaning Service - For stays of eight or more nights, Full-Cleaning Service is provided on day four and Trash & Towel Service is provided on day eight. After that, the cycle begins again on day 12. With Full-Cleaning service, Housekeeping will provide everything included with the Trash & Towel Service, plus: Change the bed linens, vacuum and dust, clean the bathroom(s), clean the kitchen/kitchenette and wash the dishes.

Yeah ... That's what I thought!
We're here for 2 weeks. They did towels on day four, yesterday was day 8 and they did towels again. Then they said they'd do the full cleaning today but when I got back and called because it wasn't done, they said they did it on day four. I insisted that no one has changed my bed linens at all. She's doing it right now - but it would have been nice if they took care of this while I was in the park .... All I really wanted was fresh sheets...

After 30 plus stays, 90% of the time Mousekeeping either doesn't show on the scheduled day or they just leave fresh towels on the table.

We have never received a full clean.

I notify the resort and DVC but the reality is, they don't care or they would fix it. Now it's turned into a family game guessing what will happen. Pretty sad that Disney would let this continue to happen.

In addition to my DVC, I own two other 3 bedroom TSs. One in Florida and one in HHI. In those other two T/S, I do not have housekeeping come in any day to refresh sheets and/or garbage, although if I need a replenishing, I can always call and get one. At home, I do not change my sheets after 4 days (although I think my ds-16, could use this feature LOL).

Anyway, I can tell you, in my opinion, I rather not have anyone in my room while I am not there and can make my own bed and throw a load of towels in the machine when I get back from the park or dinner. I much rather do this than have strangers in my room while I am not there but YMMV.

I'll be at Disney for 8 nights in September, staying at GFVs and would be fine if there was a place for me to throw full garbage bags and make my own bed.

I understand that, I have a friend who feels the same way about not having staff in her room. I also own another TS - 3 bedroom - but I only stay there a week at a time and am happy to just have them come take the garbage and leave me a stack of fresh towels ... Which they always do.
But if I am supposed to receive the service (and I am), then they should provide it unless I request that they don't. I shouldn't have to make a special trip to the front desk and then another call when they didn't do it the first two times. BTW, i do change my sheets once a week at home - I think day 8 is reasonable. And I'm on vacation. I don't want to wash my own bedding.

All DVC villa buildings have (poorly advertised and marked) trash rooms that guests can use to remove trash as often as they like. :goodvibes

Housekeeping seems to have a modus operandi of not getting service right and that problem has existed forever.. Sometimes the issue can be that you made two reservations that are linked and housekeepoing is treating those as two separate reservations, and if no single reservation is more than 7 nights, they fail to give you full cleaning. Otherwise, more often than not it is just gross incompetency.

Nevertheless, we now usually get our scheduled full cleaning when it is supposed to occur. That happens because we call housekeeping the morning it is supposed to occur to remind them it is supposed to occur.

I rarely have had housekeeping problems. Once I didn't get my trash and towel (even though the basket was outside the door, and the housekeeper just picked it up again without replacing the towels). Another time I didn't receive service because the people in the unit next door swiped my linens, and put their used linens in the basket. But generally, I have no housekeeping complaints.

This is shocking, and I must say very different from my personal experience. We have never not received full cleaning on the scheduled day... I haven't made anywhere close to 30 DVC trips yet, (I think we're up to about 7). Either I am very luck or you are extremely unlucky.

Been a member for a while and have not ever had a problem with house keeping. Actually i make an effort to seek them out in the morning and ask for more towels or whatever. Usually after that they ask me every morning if I need anything. I have found that HHI and Vero are around more I guess to their size.

Just stayed 10 nights at VGF and got a full cleaning on day 4 and T&T on day 7. Which is totally backwards from the usual. The poor housekeeper that did the full cleaning got a cheap tip (b/c I was tipping based on T&T I thought we'd be getting) and the one who did T&T on day 7 made out b/c I left more that day figuring maybe they'd do another cleaning b/c it was the real scheduled day. Hopefully it was the same housekeeper!

According to policy, "For stays of eight or more nights, Full-Cleaning Service is provided on day four and Trash & Towel Service is provided on day eight." So, they did it right.

I've never stayed more than 7 nights but I've always got my T & T on day 4 unless I left the DND sign out. On solo trips I leave the sign out because I don't need more towels and would rather they not be in the room. They have always left me a voice mail saying they respected my privacy request but to call if I needed anything.

This is how we always get it done. Our trips are always more than a week.

Huh, I guess it was right then. But that's definitely not the way its been on past stays. I even asked a housekeeper on this trip what day would be our T&T day and she told me Sunday, which was the 4th day. Weird.

My goodness, no wonder housekeeping gets it mixed up.

lol.... so, they wound up doing another full cleaning on day 12, even though they had just done one on day 9. Then on day 13 I received a message from housekeeping to tell me that since my do not disturb was on the door, I should call if I wanted the room cleaned.

Day 12 was correct. I so ermines get confused by the difference between "day" and "night."

I normally stay 4-6 nights, so I never get a full clean while staying. Also, as one person, I usually say no housekeeping as I already have plenty of towels and can empty my own garbage if I fill it (which I rarely do).

I like not having anyone in my room while I am out, and I always tip when I leave for the clean room when I arrived (although I have no idea if it is the same person that cleaned it originally, I figure that it evens out overall)
