This may have been addressed before, but I don't think I saw a thread.

I was checking on some March pricing and saw that there wasn't a fuel supplement on the cruise I wanted. I then wondered if perhaps the fuel supplement had been removed from our December 3 night cruise. When I checked the pricing, there was no fuel supplement listed. Has anyone heard whether Disney is refunding the supplement for those who already paid it? If no one has heard anything, I'll call DCL in the morning. It would be fun to get that extra credit!!

I just noticed that when I checked our June 13 cruise.. I'll be calling at 8am to check it out.

I emailed my TA also. When I played around on Disney's site, it quoted me about $150 cheaper than my original reservation. Hopefully she'll fix the balance for me! If not I'll be cancelling my reservation and rebooking it myself!

CONFIRMED!! fuel surchage has been cancelled for new reservations. Not sure about how they will apply the new situation to cruises already booked. I hope I won't need to cancell my Sept 2009 cruise and rebook it to get my $133 discount. I hope DCL will clarify this soon.

Oh wow! That's great news! Our cruise is in February. A little extra pocket money would be wonderful!!

Just got an email from our TA saying

At this time Disney has not made any adjustments to the pricing for your
sail date. The price remains the same.

If Disney alerts us to a change in pricing, we will be sure to notify you.

We're booked for the 2010 Baltic cruise so it appears as if DCL are taking their time about it.

Just talked to DCL. They will adjust our fuel surcharge based on price of a barrel of gas on Dec 15th. We will recieve it in an on board credit though not less money owed.

I will take it either way since our surcharge is $490 for our 2 rooms!

When is your cruise booked that you questioned DCL about for getting an OBC for the fuel surcharge.

We just booked on Saturday for a 4-night on Feb 22 with our DVC points. Taking advantage of the "Cruise with Mickey for a Minnie Price." The DVC points don't cover the fuel surcharge, so I'm curious to see what happens as we just paid the surcharge.

Just talked to DCL. At this time they will not be waiving the surcharge for our cruise on the Wonder December 18th. They are not charging the surcharge for new bookings on our sailing. I understand that people who book our sailing at this late date will be paying significantly more for their fare than I am but that's not the issue. The issue is that if a surcharge is not being charged for some it should not be charged for anyone.

Any suggestions? Or should I just let it go at this point? I really don't want something that we don't deserve, but it doesn't seem totally right.

Quite agree it should be reduced for everyone after all they have had your money in advance getting some interest.

Will email our travel agent as we also wonder what will happen about the Baltic cruise, would much rather have this as a price reduction not onboard credit.

I contacted Dreams Unlimited this morning after noticing that the fuel supplement was no longer being charged on my Feb. cruise for new bookings. They confirmed that the supplement will be refunded to us in the form of an onboard credit. Hooray!

I think its silly that for our June 2010 they do not just adjust the price. Dreams told me they will give it to us as an OBC. We haven't even started paying on this cruise so its not like its paid for.

Oh well, I'm sure we will spend it on pictures and other goodies!

I'm sailing on the Magic on August 29,2009...should I be getting the OBC..I'm a little confused ?:confused3

is OBC use it or lose it? I'm not happy with being forced to spend more money on Disney, and question the legality of the policy, money should be refunded if not charged, not credited!

Bones, I hadn't thought of that. I'm also wondering if it's legal to charge part of the passengers the fuel surcharge but not all of them. :confused3 I'm guessing that it somewhere in itty bitty fine print.

My Jan 10th cruise prices have dropped and the fuel supp seems to be gone from those prices! I hope I get an OBC!
