My husband drove home from New Jersey to central Florida yesterday.
He stopped for gas outside Emporia, VA and reports no shortages, he had no problem finding gas, and it was $3.09 for regular unleaded/
He then stopped in Richmond Hill, GA and topped off again (has a Prius so from that point he could have "coasted" home on a full tank) and reports all the stations in that area seemed to have gas, and he paid $2.85 a gallon for regular unleaded at the Citgo.
Once he got to the Orlando area, gas was spotty to find. He stopped at a Citgo/Kangaroo on West Colonial (Route 50) off the Turnpike exit 272, and paid $2.99 a gallon for regular unleaded, which is all that station had.
I'm quoting him here: "Every station that I saw...all the way on I-95 from NJ to Daytona, there was fuel of all types at all stations. I didn't see anybody that was out. It was only the ORlando area that had a problem yesterday."
Hope this helps some of you.
