Fuddruckers coming to Crossroads

Signs are finally up on the empty storefront a few doors down from the new Flippers, and it's going to be a Fuddruckers. Little disappointed it won't be a Sweet Tomatoes as I heard rumors of about a year ago, but a least a fun choice. No opening date posted, but they are hiring, so can't be that far off.

Is this a fast food restaurant ... like McDonald's ... or more of a sit-down restaurant like Red Robin? Just curious - we don't have them in Canada. I'm always looking for more off-site family choices. We love Chevy's at the Crossroads

It is a "get in line and place your order, then go sit down at a table and they'll call your number" type of place. Great burgers and good shakes. There is one located in he mall next to the belz mall location at the north end of international drive. The Ron Jon shop is there as well. We've been there a couple of times.

They have great salads and they are HUGE.

There used to be a couple in Edmonton (including West Edmonton Mall). We used to love them. Good burgers with the fixin's bar.

It is a chain, nothing like a McDonalds, closer to a Red Robin I guess, but still very unique!

You order, they take your name, freshly prepare your food, you get it, and then go to this fantastic bar to "dress it"! It has salsa, pico de galo, onions, shredded lettuce, tomatoe's, pickles, mayo, mustard, catsup, and cheeses (regular and jalapeno, like you would dip nachos in).

I get the smallest burger and fry available (not a kids meal), because when you "dress it up", it becomes a meal and a half!

We do not have one locally, we always eat several times (at the one on HHI) during our yearly vacation there, and have been known to drive about 60 miles each way to get to the closest one to us in Ohio!

They have one in Asheville, NC that my sister's families eat at all the time. It's not my 1st choice, because I'm not a huge burger fan like they are, but it definitely has the best burgers I've eaten. I love the option of melted cheese, instead of sliced cheese. My family all love the onion rings. The desserts are great too. IMO, it's a great addition to the Crossroads area.

A local chain, more or less the best pizza in Orlando (not that that's saying a lot, but stilll...). More a delivery place, but some tables.

I know of the burgers but do they still have the ribeye steaks sandwiches?

the first time we went to orlando in 1984 the only mall that existed was altemonte which had a fudrukkers opposite. my son was very young at the time but still remembers the wonderful steak fries and playing a table type hockey game, not the air one, a wooden table with a bit like a u.k. shove happenny board. ah happy days, just mk. epcot and boardwalk and baseball.

YAY! No more going all the way down I-Drive to get to one. It used to be one of my family's fav burger places. My dad's thrilled there's going to be one close to where we usually stay.

Flipper's is our favorite pizza at WDW. We are thrilled that they will have delivery to OKW too.
