Frustration....GRRR!!!!!!!

So I got an email this morning from my DF that was forwarded from his family in the Midwest.(We live in NJ and I have never met them.) It said that they called to book thier rooms for the wedding and the person on the phone said that our room rates were not confirmed!!!! What?!?! We signed a contract for those rates. And the person on the phone also said something about us getting a comp room if we have a certain number of people stay. No Offense, but I dont think that my guests need to know that. Its like im fundraising or something!!! Please buy some candy so i can go on my class trip!!!!! sorry, I am very frustruated. Has this happened to any of you? where the phone people gave your guests mis- information?

Sorry about the troubles but it seems as though long complaint letter is due - b/c I don't think that is supposed to happen.

If that happen to me I would be

I am sorry - just let your planner know what happened and how you feel about it. Hopefully they can set everything straight.

I 100% agree. I can't imagine how it would make some of my guests react if they thought I was getting them all to stay in my room block just so that I could get a free room. Definitely talk to you planner about making sure your room rate is in fact locked in... but also discuss what your guest was told on the phone. I really think a letter goes a long way.
