Frustrated with making ADR's and reaching DVC by phone

I received an email about our upcoming trip that told me it was time to make dining reservations as I was at 180 days out. I went online and nothing would show any tables anywhere! I tried for a few days and no luck. At first it was because my resort reservation was not linked. I linked it. Finally last night a few things worked but still not what I wanted. So this morning I am on hold waiting for an estimated 25 minutes to talk to a person.

I am not feeling that special DVC owner feeling and I am tired of hearing this man tell me he is making Magic for others!

I also went around the Disney system to get a Raglan Road dinner reservation. Disney said there were no tables available through their system! Raglan Road has a great system right off their Facebook page!
 
I finally got through. The wait was at least 25 minutes. I think this is he longest I have ever waited unless it was something special. I still can not get two popular dinners but I will keep trying. BOG and Akershus dinners are just very popular. Any hints on how or when to find them?
 
just keep checking when you can i came across a reservation the other night around 10 pm est

My inner Mickey told me that DVC'ers are special and should be treated as such......LOL! Now if we could just get management to understand this!

We're a captive audience at this point. One they don't feel they have to continue to court and truthfully, one they shouldn't have to. They don't normally release all inventory at 180 days and there are cancellations. I ended up with several BOG reservations last trip when nothing was available initially but I earned them. One was very short notice, like 2 days. Remember that there is currently no penalty if your reservations is for more than show up so search for other party sizes.
 
I wanted to add someone to my 1BR reservation and make some ADRs yesterday. Member services wait was 35 min so I called the WDW-DINE number to just try for ADRs. Actually NO WAIT there, but the system was not responding for the person helping me! After waiting several minutes, the system told her to reboot. I didn't have time to wait, so called later. The WDW-DINE person kept telling me she was sorry and they were in the process of upgrading their system. Well, I certainly hope so, but not holding my breath. Why can't they get this right? Not sure if the system can't handle the load or is just poorly written. I suspect both. They have had plenty of time to make this right yet problems persist. Ugh!!
