Looking for fruit smoothie recipes that you make at home using a blender, do use yogurt, just ice, honey, etc? Needed for a Girl Scout badge we are working on! Thanks!!!

Frozen fruit, small container of yoghurt, some juice. Makes a great breakfast for teens in a hurry!

I buy the big bag of frozen mixed fruit from Costco. There are some peaches, strawberries, grapes, melons. I just throw some of these into the blender, so every smoothie is a new taste sensation!

Thanks damo,

Do you use plain vanilla yogurt or a flavor? What kind of juice? Sorry for being picky.

I buy those packages of yoghurt that have two of this and two of that. Always flavoured of some kind. Usually I use a mixed juice of some kind. The favourite here is Strawberry Orange Banana but I have used just orange or whatever is hanging around. The good thing about smoothies is that you can't go wrong! The biggest thing, though, is adding the frozen fruit. Then you don't have to water it down with ice.

I have also added a bit of fresh banana. It gives it a distinctive texture.

William-Sonoma has a whole cookbook on smoothies. You don't have to buy it, they have index cards and pencils so you can copy one or two recipes for free.

I use skim milk, 1/2 a banana 3 forzen strawberries and a hadful of frozen blueberries and a dash of vanilla. Never triend it with fruit juice. Is it more of a slushie or is it thick like a shake?

With the yoghurt and the juice it is like a shake.

1 cup milk

1/2 cup vanilla yogurt

1tsp natural peanut butter

1 cup frozen fruit I LOVE blueberry!!

1 cup crushed ice

dh likes to use

the milk, yougurt, ice and 3/4 cup strawberries, 1 banana, and a drizzle of honey

I was at a restaurant that made a delicious green apple smoothie. Anyone have a recipe for that?

1 Cup Milk
1 lowfat yougurt
1 can fruit
couple ice cubes

These recipes look great. My DS loves Jamba Juice and I would rather make something at home, than spend $$ constantly at Jamba.

plain or vanilla yogurt (a large spoonful)
a banana
frozen strawberries (about 5 or 6)
apple or orange juice
