I had been staying on induction since May 19th as I have a lot to loose and haven't had many problems eating low carbs.

Well, Saturday I made DW a cheesecake for her birthday (thanks Beachgirl, whoever you are!). I did up some blackberries with Splenda and also strawberries. I had stalled for a week without loosing anything so I said what the heck, a TB or two of fruit won't kill me.

Sunday morning, down 1 pound. Monday 1.5, today another 1.5. On my way again!

Anyone else have a similar experience?

PS - Notice my 10 lb clippie? Yippee!

Congratulations, Buz! That is wonderful news! Keep up the great work!! :)

Yes - that is the idea behind Atkins. That's why the book will tell you to be on Induction for 2 weeks, then slowly start adding carbs back into your diet. This will help with your ongoing weight loss (OWL).

When you get to the point that your ketosticks are no longer pink, or you stop losing weight - then you've added too many carbs, so adjust accordingly. The object is to find the point at which you are eating carbs, but low enough that you will still lose weight.

I've done the thank you beach girl dance too - that cheesecake is amaizing. Tonight we are cutting into a new one - this time I made it with hazelnut flavored syrup - my kitchen smelled like heaven. I've often heard if you stall to vary your intake on different days and that can jump start things!

I've added strawberries and blackberries back into my diet. They haven't caused a weight loss but they haven't stalled me either.

Isn't it amazing how delicious they are? I think the sugar I used to put on them was hiding the true flavor.
