I was listening to the Be Our Guest WDW podcast, and they reported rumors that Frozen Summer Fun at DHS may be extended past Sept. 7th. Has anyone else heard this?

I'll be at WDW for a week in late September. I'm more concerned with how it would affect crowds at DHS. The only part of Frozen Summer Fun I'd be interested in seeing are the fireworks.

I've heard other sites report having heard that as well (WDW Prep School did, I know), but nothing concrete. Since it's scheduled to end in a week, you think they'd have announced something by now.

I would really like to know this as well, we are arriving 9/12 and would love to see the fireworks. I think last year by this time it had already been announced, can anyone confirm that?

Even if it was extended, crowds would not rise because of it.

Yesterday afternoon I was able to walk onto Rockin (single rider - standby was 20min), ToT (5min), BatB (half the theatre was empty), Little Mermaid 1 minute before the show started, and walk up to to the curb for the second Frozen Royal Welcome 10 minutes beforehand with plenty of open space nearby). Even Toy Story was only at 45-55min wait. The only time DHS has felt crowded recently is in the 30ish minutes before the fireworks start when people start congregating in the road.

Oh, I'll be curious to hear if they do! We'll be there this weekend through next and it sure would be nice to see the fireworks more than once.

Why not at this point unless they have some Star Wars plans to help promote the new movie. Frozen Summer Fun adds a few more things to a park with very little going on from an attraction standpoint.

I was there last week and the parade was fun to watch (but was super short (not a bad thing in the heat of the midday). We took advantage of the Ice Palace Boutique with my niece. We enjoyed the dance party as we walked through the center a few times. While we didn't stay to see the Fireworks (toddlers) .. we saw them from our hotel (4th floor 60s section - Pop Century) several nights.

The best thing of Frozen Summer Fun to me was seeing Frozen Fever short, though they really should show it more often than every 30 minute, I found it hard to find time for it without waiting longer than I wanted (kept passing by like minutes after it started).
(but that theatre in a sad state of disrepair - seats missing, sticky floor, smelled of a toilet.)

I know they are continuing the 'First Time in Forever' show because I have a Fast Pass scheduled for it on September 17th...
The Frozen Sing-Along is a permanent offering that was continued after last years summer celebration. The items specific to this celebration are the Frozen Royal Welcome, Olaf's Summer Cool Down, the Ice Palace Boutique, and the Frozen Fireworks. (maybe Frozen Fever? I'm not sure what the plan is for that building right now)

Just to add an update, the Frozen Summer Fun offerings are ending on the 7th as scheduled
thanks for the update - I have to admit I'm glad - I moved our trip up by one day (ssshhh don't tell DD it's a surprise) specifically to catch the Frozen events (and Living with the Land before it closes for refurb)!!!
