Frozen ride in Norway---how tiered?

I'm at least hoping that once it opens they will move Test Track to the second tier rather than have what will be three top attractions in the first tier and only able to choose one of them. Whaddya think?

I think TT, Soarin and Frozen will all be Tier 1.

Since they are moving the A&E meet and greet from MK over to Epcot, what tier will that be?

If I were to guess, once these both are in place I believe the tier system will either change or go away.

There has been no announcement that they are eliminating the A&E meet and greet in MK.

With TT, Soarin' Frozen, and the Anna & Elsa meet, they will have 4 true tier 1's. Throw in Illuminations and there are plenty to go around. This leads me to wonder if they may get rid of the tiers after everything is open. A girl can dream, right?

IF all 4 of these are going to be in the same tier, then they should allow two FP+ choices and move the one choice to the M:S, SE tier.

Even when Soarin adds the new theater capacity, i can't see Epcot losing their tiers. They could end up with something like DHS though with Test Track and Frozen being tier 1 and Soarin in tier 2. But what in the world will they do with the Meet and Greet? Are they really going to make people choose either the Frozen ride or the Meet and Greet? So freaking strange.

The Magic Kingdom barely works as a fastpark+ park with no tiers (and I mean barely - considering the madness surrounding A&E and the Mine Train). Look at the comparison in rides:

Soarin - Mine Train (20,000 slots a day)
Test Track - Splash (around 14,000 ride slots a day)
Nothing - Space Mountain (20,000+)
Frozen - Peter Pan (both about 10,000 daily capacity on a 12 hour day)
Spaceship Earth - Little Mermaid 24,000+)
Mission Space - Big Thunder (about 18,000)
nothing - Haunted Mansion (30,000)
nothing - Pirates (30,000)
nothing - Jungle Cruise (22,000)
nothing - Parades

Epcot is way, way behind on capacity to not have a disaster without tiers. Epcot needs about 3-4 high capacity rides (that people want to ride).

As for the A&E meet and greet, they might as well sell hard tickets or make it package deal with the a restaurant in Epcot.

That is a good idea - 2 tier ones with both Frozen and Meet Greet in Tier 1, that would solve that problem. But there are only about 7500 Maelstrom FP and a lot less Meet and Greets. So then others would grab two Test Tracks and Soarin and ride availability in Epcot would become very limited.

If Epcot used the system that they use in Disneyland, this wouldn't be a problem. I thought their system worked great.

Could Frozen be our first Appointment Only ride?

I think that's still a distinct possibility.

Do you have any idea how much space they are devoting to the queue? That would be a big tip-off.

I still think those tests were about something, and I always thought this ride was a possible reason.

Well, it would be another reason to get more, um, what do they call them--they're short, loud, annoying and the reason why MK is my 4th ranked Disney park--oh yes, children wanting to go to EPCOT.

Maybe I can get a backstage tour on Wednesday. Or grab me a hard hat and wander back there. :rotfl2:

Bring a hammer. You can probably sneak right in.

I'll be waiting for your stealth videos.

Well Disney doesn't have to tell people anything, that has become quite clear. Do you think they will leave them both? That would be a shocker.

A year ago I would have agreed with you. But there's nothing new now about having the same characters doing M&Gs in different parks. The fab 5 have been doing it for years. The princesses have M&Gs plus character meals. Having A&E in both MK and Epcot would kill 2 birds with one stone- making their FPs twice as easy to get and shortening the standby lines for the gals.

I'm pretty new around here, what tests are you talking about?

They did tests last year on the A/E meet and greet, Soarin and TSMM running them with FP+ for a couple days. No standby. Once the FPs were all distributed, ride access was gone for the day.

I don't think they will want to put them in both places. I think Disney likes having them in the "feeding frenzy" category. Offer them in both places and people will no longer have to start threads on the DIS announcing how happy they were to get FPs for them. ;)
