Frozen ride during EMH?

Well, I've been trying but no FP for Frozen Ever After on any of our days (Nov. 28 through Dec. 1). Now I notice that one of the days during our trip (the one I had designated for Studios) there are EMH in the morning at Epcot. Our FPs at Studios don't start until late morning, so now I'm thinking maybe that EMH would be a good time to try to head for Frozen ride and then just go to Studios later? (yes we have hoppers). So my question is... for EMH, will the ride even be open? I understand that World Showcase opens at 11... so does this mean that the ride doesn't open until then? Hard to believe since it's so popular.. so assuming it opens at 8 AM when the EMH start, what is our best strategy? I have a car... should I park at the Epcot hotels and enter at International Gateway? (will they even let me?) or park in the regular lot and enter at FW? And if we do enter at 8 AM for EMH, will the line for Frozen still be unmanageable? Or is this a good plan since FP seems to be a lost cause? We will be spending an entire day at Epcot earlier that week, but from what I understand the standby line will be horrific all day so that's why I thought EMH in the morning might be our best chance. Is this still true? Any guidance would be much appreciated!!!

It will be open for EMH - barring any technical issues.

You won't need to sprint to the ride which will be nice also. We stopped an took photos and still only waited 5 minutes the last week of October. And it was BUSY at the parks during our stay.

I'd go with that plan myself Frozen is a must for your family.

Hi! I think you would be fine to go during EMH. You cannot park at the EPCOT resorts and then go to the parks. They only let you in if you have a reservation of the hotel or a meal. I don't think they will even let you valet for the day. Parking for those resorts is very limited and hard for those even staying at the resorts.

I would just park in the regular lot and head in from FW. I went to Epcot morning EMH in July with the intent of doing just this. It worked perfectly. I can't remember now what time my pic was taken on the ride (I think it was 8:31) but I did not do the race walk/run thing. I just walked at my usual pace. It was the first morning of my trip and I didn't want to start it off doing a crazy mad dash. It is a bit of a walk and all I accomplished in that first hour was FEA and single rider TT but it was exactly what I was hoping to do so it was perfect for me. Since you are doing an Epcot day prior to this, I would see if there is any chance of getting on sometime during that day knowing you have this option in your back pocket, so to speak, if it doesn't work out that full day.

I don't mean to hijack this thread but I have a related question...what time does the ride open on a non-EMH day since World Showcase doesn't open until 11 (is that still correct)? We haven't been since the ride has been open. Just curious, and thanks in advance!

FEA opens at rope drop. You are correct, WS opens at 11 but FEA opens with the park (and for EMH).

I think kj2Mom made a good point though that some may miss. She only accomplished FEA and Test Track single rider in first hour. Not necessarily a bad thing but because of the extra walking you wont get a whole lot done in Epcot in the first couple hours because of the extra walking.

Yes, for some that may seem like a wasted hour (I completely understand the benefits of RD) but for me it was exactly what I wanted. I was on a solo (kind of) trip because a friend's daughter was part of Dance The World. Besides watching her dance in the parade and her stage performance, there were very few must dos. I did want to check out FEA since it was new so I targeted EMH to do that since I was using my FP for the new Soarin'. I remember getting on TT at 8:55 so those two things definitely consumed my hour.
