Hi all,
It's been a while since I've been on the DIS, and our last trip to DLR was in August 2015, so I have some catching up to do before our trip in late March.

I have booked the Frozen dining package at Carthay Circle because we really enjoyed eating there last time with the WOC lunch package. But when I looked around online at the price for the Frozen package, it seems pretty steep. With WOC it didn't really cost more for the preferred viewing section than just ordering off the menu, but for Frozen it looks like it costs significantly more. We'll likely eat a Carthay Circle anyway, but if we were just to order from the menu, we likely wouldn't order appetizers and dessert, so the bill would be much less. But with the dining package, we save a significant amount of time waiting in line for the show. So, my question is, how difficult is it to get a regular seat at Frozen? Is the dining package a significant time saver, or would I be better off just going to Carthay for lunch and then waiting in line to see Frozen another day/time? Keep in mind, we're at DLR during the last week on March, so it will likely be really busy (we usually travel to DLR in July or August, so we're used to dealing with large crowds.)
Thanks

I did Frozen during a busy time in the park and it was not a good experience. A lot of waiting in line and then people just went running for seats that we didn't even get our party seated next to each other (three rows away actually). Next weekend I plan on doing the Frozen lunch package to avoid the frustration. I'll report back and let you know if I thought there was value there!

We did the Frozen dining package on our last trip, and I didn't find it a great value. The menu is extremely limited, and while we got fantastic seats, you still have to show up pretty early. They let you in before the regular standby crowd, so you still need to be there a good 40 minutes before the show or you're out of luck. I wouldn't pay for it again.

We just did it a couple of days ago. As a one time thing for us it was worth it. But my DD is a frozen fanatic and nearly blind, in a wheel chair and has seizures from the heat. So we really had to do it to get front row seats for her. It was very expensive. We love carthay so I was ok with it in theory but the menu is limited. And its expensive because it is a ton of courses. Courses that you really don't need in the middle of the day. We had 1140 lunch and 330 frozen. We showed up at 3 like they told us and were maybe 3 families back. There are 46 people total in the VIP group. If you don't have a need to control where you are seated I wouldn't do the package. Show up 10 minutes before and see what you can get. Everyone else will be seated and you should be able to find seats quickly or drop by for the next show. Its worth seeing. It was jaw dropping good I thought.

We did the Frozen Dining package on 2-21. We are glad that we did it. The parks were super crowded. I'm glad that I spent 1 1/2 hour eating vs. standing in line for Frozen for an hour. The food was good although I had to have them re cook my steak. It was over cooked. I asked for medium rare and it came out medium well done. After the meal, we got in line at 2:50 and we got into the theater at 3:07. The were about 25 people in the Frozen dining package area. We got to sit anywhere we wanted. I chose the first row of the second section in the middle and they were great seats. Then the masses of standby people were let in. The bottom sections were full. I don't know how full the balcony was. We really enjoyed the show. As we left, the standby line was packed for the 5:30 show. So glad we didn't wait in the line. My dh wouldn't have wanted to wait in that line.

I meant to check back in and say my mom and I really enjoyed doing the lunch package. The food was delicious and the special entry with no waiting was great. We chose the last row in the first section and had a great view! Money well spent :)

I did the package myself while hubby went ill unexpectedly one day.

It was one of the best choices I ever made !!

The menu was delicious and I lined up about 30 minutes early so I was first to be let in - a very cool feeling! I chose front row dead center and it brought such a new life to a beloved show. Being up front and close with the performers , seeing some of the intricate detail of the costumes and taking it all in..worth every penny for me.
