my friend and I are going to DL for 2.5 days just to say goodbye to the Diamond Celebration, but we did want to check out the new Frozen show. Any advice for FP options? I was just planning on showing up for rope drop and making that out first order of business. Is there a better strategy? Also, once you have your FP, how soon before the show do people start lining up for their respective sections? TIA!!!!

When the machines issue the FPs for Frozen, they issue by show then section. Orchestra first, then mezzanine, then balcony. If you line up for FPs right after rope drop, you should get the first show but which section depends on where you end up in line.

When I was there in June, rope drop was 8am, so I got a FP for Soarin', then got right in line and rode Soarin' (FP for later), then went to get a FP for Frozen. Right when I got there, they were switching over for the second show, so I got orchestra.

How early you should line up depends on how far forward you want to be seated in your section. I lined up an hour before showtime, was toward the front of the line, and was able to snag a seat in the 5th row close to the stage.

Has anyone been recently that has experience with either how early they run out- or how early you need to get there for the first show?

We were there in early June and my husband was in the last 30 people to get a fast pass for the day around 9:15AM. I'm guessing it's died down since then- this was about a week after it opened.

We were there yesterday, got a fast pass for the 1:30 show at 10am.
I think they were still giving out fast passes for the last show when we went back for our show.

On Sunday July 3rd we got our fast passes with no line at 8:22 am (park opened at 8am). They were for the 11:30 am performance, Mezzanine level.

Return time stated between 10:30 & 11:10am. The disclosure on them read: Fastpass Return entrance will close promptly at 11:10am.

They also verbally warned us that the doors will close at 11:10am.

We returned at 10:52am. We waited maybe 10 mins before being let in and we got seats on the far left side about four rows from the front/bottom in the Mezzanine level. We had no issues seeing everything.

A lot of people returned early and waited in the sun. I don't think that was necessary at all.

Can anyone provide details on this show? Is it an actual show, like the Beauty and Beast show at Hollywood Studios, not a fan of the Frozen Sing Along at the same park.

It is an excellent show. I am not a fan of musicals, and not necessarily a Frozen fan. I was really impressed with the quality of the show and the talent of the actors.
