Frozen 2: the sequel is happening, says Idina Menzel

"Frozen 2 is on its way, according to Idina Menzel, the star who voices Elsa.
After months of speculation about a sequel to the Disney hit, Menzel appeared to confirm that a second feature-length film is planned.
Asked in a Telegraph interview what she could say about rumours of a sequel and a stage musical - in addition to a six-minute short due to show in cinemas this Christmas - Menzel said: “That they’re all in the works.”
She expects to be invited back to voice Elsa on screen, but said she was unlikely to be involved in the theatre production.
“Not the stage show – I don’t know what will happen with that – but the movie hopefully. We’ll see. I’m just going along for the ride,” she said."

Make the film now. Keep it in the can until sales start to show signs of dropping and then announce the new movie "to be released in 9 months!" That kicks sales back up. When the movie comes out, it will naturally have a new character that will require everyone to rush out and add to the collection. Plus indoctrinating a whole new generation of school age girls.

Idina, while making the media rounds for her holiday album is refuting the inferred intent of her statement.

She says she only intended to say that she can't imagine Disney isn't thinking about a sequel and that she'd love to participate but that nobody has reached out about it.

It was just announced that there will be a Frozen short that will air before the showing of the new Cinderella movie that is being released in March.

I'm sure Adele Dazeem (Google it) might have a little knowledge, but I don't buy it until we've heard something a little more official. After everything that's come along with the first movie, I really don't want a second...I can't handle much more of this in the parks.
