You have to turn on the heat in November?! Horrors!!!

57 degrees is not cold. Boo flippin Hoo, y'all have to suffer through Florida weather. Call me when you've got 18 inches of snow covered by 1/2" of ice and it is 0 degrees.

I'm so jealous.

...and I'm getting lost...

We all make choices in life... :thumbsup2

Show-off. :rotfl:

I'll be living for your pictures in the coming months...but they better not come with complaints! :teeth:

Yeah!!!Cool weather. Can you crank it down a notch? I will be there in four weeks. I wanna be able to wear a light jacket all day so I don't have to carry a purse or a pack (gotta love pockets).

Hot buttered rum watching Illuminations sounds special. ;)

I had to turn on the heat in the van on the way home. :guilty:

back in the upper 70's by the end of the week. :)

Bleech. The air temp this morning is 40. With the wind it feels like 33. The heat has been coming on in my house all night.

While it's certainly been colder here, I don't recall seeing temps like this so early in the year. Can't wait for the end of the week when it warms back up to the 70's.

Roberta, at first glance I thought this thread was going to be about getting "frosted" here on the DIS......which btw, I haven't been, yet. :( ;)

Even though I'm here in Michigan and your cold temps would be beautiful about mid January, I can relate. When we were there last year the week of Thanksgiving with the band, one day was only low 50's. Even for us that was cold to be hanging in the parks all day! :cold:

Is it normal for it to be the chilly at this time of year down there?. I am serious. I had plans for next Oct for WDW, but been rethinking maybe closer to Thanksgiving, to get in the Holiday decor and lights. But I also want to be able to go swimming..I don't mind the chilly evenings long as the day time is warm. The last time I went during the first week of Dec, it was mostly in the 50's to 60's daytime even then. I may have to rethink and try for Sept..lol..I want to go to Floriday to escape the cold. :sunny:

I'm sitting in my kitchen DIS'ing while I listen to the CD I'm reviewing--see there are times you can work and DIS at the same time!

I'm wearing flannel PJ's, a fleece robe, and slippers. Normally I'd be in cotton PJ's, no robe, no slippers. And I"m still cold!

I've been checking the weather as religiously as I did for my wedding day and it seems as if there will be a warming trend in the next few days. As long as it is anywhere between 60-80 for our vacation, I will be more than happy! :sunny:

Another upside to the chilly weather, we we able to have a fire last night! :teeth:

I'm just glad we went to the Monday Night Football game earlier in the season, no way I could have sat in those temps last night.

My transplanted son in Tampa has been telling me that even he is chilly!!! And he hates the hot weather!!! Somehow, 55 degrees in Florida just seems colder than 55 here in Mass.
Looks like two pairs of jeans will be going to WDW in two weeks!!! And my fleece, and my mittens and maybe even a scarf!! It can get chilly at night, even when it's in the high 70's during the day. Can't imagine how it must feel at night now!!!

I'm in South Florida and it's FREEZING out this morning. I do like this weather though, it's definitely a nice change. :thumbsup2

I went to a MNF game in December. Even though it was in Miami, it was still freezing. Sweatshirt, coat, gloves, the whole bit. Blech.

Didn't turn on the heat this morning in the house. But I did in my car and I broke out a jacket.

Brrrrrrrrr

Yup. Sometimes we will have a cold front go through at the end of October, but usually by mid to late November you should definitely see a change in temps. It will usually be a little cooler until late January and occasionaly early February.

We went to WDW and MVMCP last year after Thanksgiving and the first couple of days in December, and it was nice in the sun, but the temps would drop like a rock after the sun went down. It cracked me up to see tourists from up north wearing shorts and t-shirts, and the Floridians were bundled up.

ETA: Keep in mind that I have lived in Florida for about 17 years, and I think any temps in the 60's are cold, and the 40's and 50's are FREEZING.

There were snow flurries here last night...snow flurries! :scared1:

Really! Where do you live? I'm looking out the window and the wind is bad. I'm not surprised though, the news person said to bring your pets inside, although my pets are almost always inside, they don't like the heat or the cold either.

Last Christmas when we went to WDW it was in the 30s at night and 50s during the day. There were people actually swimming at the Wilderness Lodge pool. It was way too cold for us, but they were having a great time.
