Found a great deal for this August. I am very weary of flying Frontier and just wondering if anyone has any experience. Please share the good, the bad, and the ugly. Thanks!

We had a good experience back in 2009 and a very bad experience in 2011 for our honeymoon. I think they have really gone down hill since then, which is unfortunate. During our honeymoon they decided to cancel our return flight which was on a Sunday. Not only did they cancel our flight but all flights on Sunday going back to LAX! They did this 2 days before our wedding and notified me via email. I was in a panic! There was no way we could fly home another day as Disney did not have rooms left at our hotel (BC) and we both had to return home to get to work by Sunday. They ended up putting us on a United Flight which was a real bummer because they did not measure up with the extra leg room and they had no in-flight entertainment. The customer service people I dealt with at Frontier were also a nightmare. They didn't seem to care this was a special vacation...

I am sorry to hear about your bad experience with them. These are the kind of posts, reviews, ect that are scaring me. I also do not like all of their extra fees. The fare is only $198.00 round trip and it cannot be beat. Will definitely be interested to see if anyone else has other experiences. Thanks for the post!

Frontier air recently hired a former VP of Spirit Air as their president. Frontier is being repositions as an ultra low cost carrier, similar to Spirit and Ryanair. Any reviews before the change is completed are of little relevance to the experience a future passenger should expect.

I've flown Frontier from Trenton before the change and just booked a flight for next month.

My previous experiences were good and I don't expect anything else. For my flight next month, I booked a flight last night for $136 round-trip from Trenton to St. Augustine. Even with the cost of luggage, seats, drink, etc., it will still be hundreds less than flying Southwest, USAir, etc.

And, I just had a very positive resolution with their customer service over a credit of $45 for 2 tickets. To resolve the matter, I was given a $120 credit per ticket...$150 more than was expecting!!!

Needless to say, they resolved my issue to my satisfaction.:thumbsup2
