Frontier personal item

I am trying to figure out which bag to use as a personal item with frontier, the Vera Bradley campus back pack or Vera Bradley tote bag. Anyone use these bags successfully?

I used a half ful Jan sport style backpack. They didn't say anything. However it was he most uncomfortable flight of my life. I hope you paid for a seat upgrade.

I have used the VB campus with no issues. Yes the new seats are very thin and have hardly any padding. We took seat cushions I found on Amazon for the 2nd trip.

Looks like I'm going with campus bag, only a 2 hour flight so not worried about the seats.
