So Frontier is finally showing fares through August but only Den Deals and they are high!!! Is that normally how they release fares? Will they release more and drop prices? Thanks for any insight...

Pretty sure they drop and are cheaper closer to thr date. I got 4 round trip tickets last year for 450. After adding luggage and picking seats it was 600 total which is still cheap. They did change our return flight an entire day though so be prepared for something lol.

We have found them hard to determine a pattern. We watched flights from CVG to Cancun for a long time and they were a certain price and certain dates. When our dates were release, they had no DenDeals and prices were high with limited dates. We also watched prices from CLE to Cancun, when our dates were release, the prices were great, but the outbound flights were different from the normal pattern of Sate and they were all now Sun. After we booked, they changed the dates back to Sat. I don't know how easy they are to predict. Those CVG to Cancun flights still haven't opened up like we expected and it has been a month or more.

Yes, they will drop but there isn't always a rhyme or reason as to when. I often find the best deals much closer to the dates. These prices are definitely higher than they were when they released last year for the summer. Looking at NJ to FL they were $95 each way last year and are showing up $144 now. From past experience when I'm looking to fly I just check every single day. Frontier has specials every few days but right now they don't reach that far out.

I have never flown Frontier and maybe they aren't like other airlines, but keep in mind that it is usual for flight prices to increase closer to flight date.

Generally I've seen them go up and down except for Memorial Day weekend (I only look at STL-MCO). Those never went below the den deal price and actually just kept going up.

I fly Frontier a lot and usually the best deals are pretty last minute. They throw out sales of $20 each way but you have to book them for the following 2-3 weeks usually. We've had the best deals with them 2-6 weeks out typically.

I got an email today from Frontier indicating that summer flights are only open to Den members currently. So, it looks like that's why they are showing up sold out for regular priced flights. Not sure when that will change and I can't recall every noticing this before, but I don't often book flights very far out. I also tried to look at miles redemption for the summer and it shows unavailable for all flights from end of June through August. I'm guessing they just aren't releasing them yet either. On the plus side there are now Tues and Weds flights as low as $36 when yesterday they were all $144 or higher.

OP here, I keep checking too and today the Den members flight is $35 and it was $141 yesterday. I've only used Frontier once and got an awesome price just 2 weeks out. Looking 3.5 months ahead is all new. Thanks
