I literally just left Frontera Cocina and I can honestly say its the best Mexican food ive ever had and one of the best meals on property Ive had and I come here a lot. The guacamole is to die for!!

Frontera Grill, Rick Bayless's original spot in Chicago, remains one of the best Mexican restaurants I've tried in the country. Frontera Cocina isn't quite to that level, but it certainly lives up to its cousin's reputation.

Frontera Cocina's Instagram account advertised "Margarita Mondays" but gave no information. Does anyone know if they have special prices like a Happy Hour maybe?

We went last year for the first time and the food was lovely and the service was really good too, staff were friendly. Really difficult to get nice Mexican food and especially when Paradiso is so overpriced and food isn't great.

I was also really impressed with Frontera when I visited in October. I'm not a huge fan of guacamole, but Frontera's was amazing. I could have eaten the whole bowl by myself.

We just ate there in Dec. and I'm still thinking about the shrimp enchiladas suizas and can't wait to return in April. Looking forward to trying the guacamole with my mom, as my H doesn't eat it. Also, wondering if anyone knows of anything on the menu that doesn't have a kick. Mom doesn't handle spicy well.
