Front of Monorail?

I know at Disney World you cannot ride in the front of the monorail anymore, but do they still allow you to do this in Disneyland?

They do but you might have to wait a bit. Last time we went it was a 4 monorail wait, although that was the middle of summer.

Yes, we were invited to ride up front one time and it was a treat.
One odd thing though, when you look out the front window you can see that there is some sagging in some of the beams. This causes a porpoising action in the very front. So if one is prone to motion sickness this "ride" may not be for you.

We've been able to ride up front a couple of times. They only allow 4 people to sit up front, so if there are more than that in your party, the rest will have to ride in the back. We have been lucky and haven't had to wait long. It's usually less crowded at the Tomorrowland station in the late morning/early afternoon.

I've asked to wait and have always been told it's first come, first served, no waiting. And it's also at the descretion of the driver. I've had better luck at the DL platform, since most people go round trip. I've also been first at the closest gate and been shoved aside by other guests, so be ready for that.

I didn't think you could do round trip anymore. If someone else is waiting for front we've been told to hang back behind the gates closest to to the front until next train
