Front desk check in lines at Swan/Dolphin

We'll be staying at Dolphin in a couple months for the first time. I've read some comments about long waits/lines to check in. Is this something we should plan for? How long are they at checkin time of 4pm?

Last time I stayed at The Swan I walked right up to an empty check in desk. I’m sure it depends a lot on how popular a week it is and what day of the week you’re checking in.
