yeah, I literally read every post, I was exhausted, but it was worth it...I got to find out how crazy you all are too :) LOVE Palo and i can't tell you how much that boy can eat!!! And about the GA wedding, don't get me wrong, I wanna go but when every flight starts at around $300pp there is no way I can justify that :sad1:

We are hoping to do a couple of days there, it is my first time to the west coast! My husband and I met and became friends with Sandy and Tony (goofprincess) on our honeymoon cruise and they are the whole reason we are on this one so we hope that they will show us around DL ;)

Hope everyone has a great day, it is a sunny and cold one here in NH. My husband won't tell me what we are up to for Valentines Day, all I was told was to be dressed to the 9's and ready to go for 5:30! Cheerio :)

Holly

Way to go on reading all the posts - I wasn't very active before our November cruise and then just went back a few pages. Must be that lazy gene in there somewhere kicking in. And a Valentine's Day date to boot, good for you.

Well, I hope the afternoon kicks into high gear soon so I can head out. Can't wait to see Drew.

We too will spend 2 nights at GCV I hope if not not sure what we will do. We did a few days after our Hawaii cruise.

I have officially booked our cruise and now have to start the waiting the worst part of the whole process!! I am new to the boards but have found such wonderful info from all of you that I wanted to join. I love the fish extenders and can't wait to try that out. This will by my 4th cruise my husband's third and my daughters first! How do I get a countdown ticker?

Thanks!:beach:

Welcome tiggrlady :) You will find this a warm and welcoming group! As for a ticker, you can click on someone elses and you should be able to get your own :) Good luck!

Okay and my fourth and final attempt at fondant:
IMG_0362.jpg

Their birthdays are just one day apart so we've been holding their bday parties together. However, this was the first year I only made one cake. It was a bit bumpy on the side but I know I'm no professional :lmao:. I just do it because I like it and my kids love my baking and homemade buttercream.

I love working with fondant. It's like playing with modeling clay. Too bad it just doesnt taste that good. I love your cakes, thank you for sharing.

Tami,

Those cakes are amazing. Is that Poohs house? I'm not a cake baker, but I was going to try red velvet chocolate coated balls for v day.

Wish me luck!

Katherine

I guess I could pass it off as Pooh's house if I put up a Mr Sanders sign. It was supposed to be a mouse house. Everything is edible. I entered it in our local fair. When I was carrying it in they thought it was ceramic. It won 1st, Best of Class and Best of Show.

Welcome to the Disboards and our cruise Tiggrlady!!! Part of the fun of the cruise is meeting and planning it with fellow dis'ers. Please feel free to post away we would love to get to know you!!

Tami and Carmen, those cakes are amazing!!! I used to work in a bakery and we made tons of cakes, but we used buttercream to decorate. So I know how to decorate with buttercream icing but I really want to start experimenting with fondant. Do you buy the fondant or is there a recipe?

I also love Palo! Especially the brunch. We went for dinner but didn't have a very good experience. We didn't like our server AT ALL. He was terrible!! I wish we would have requested our brunch server, she was great! He acted like he didn't really want to be there. We don't drink alchohol, we didn't order any drinks, and when it came time for our palet cleansers, he gave them to us with alchohol in them without telling us. And then because of hurricane Omar our itinerary changed, so our lobster night changed to our Palo night. Well I had to have the lobster of course. So i didn't really get to try some of the other great stuff Palo has to offer. The whole time we were there, we were missing our dining room servers.
I told Randy I want to try Palo again for dinner. Because I know we will love it if we had a good server.
Sorry for rambling, I wasn't planning on typing this much! LOL

Maybe I should have posted this on more than one post to get our count up!!:lmao:
Have a great day everyone!!!

I figured it out finally! Thanks! :rotfl: I have been on 3 cruises, my husband has been on 2 and this will be my daughters first one. Have only done disney cruises! I have been afraid to try some other line after being spoiled by Disney. We are a full blown Disney Family. My husband and I met due to him seeing me on a bus with my tigger jacket and tigger backpack on. We had a vow renewal in 2007 and honeymooned at the Grand Floridian and 9 months later we got our Disney souvenir! She has been to Disneyland already and this will be her first cruise. She gets to celebrate her 3rd birthday on the cruise. We haven't been on a cruise since 2006 so I am sure things have changed. Trying to find info on what possible excursions might be available. Also any tips on doing flights/cruising with a little person would be great. This is going to be a learning adventure that's for sure!

Our son will be 3 on the cruise too (turns 3 in September). He's flown and traveled a bit since he was born. Best advice is to keep a small bag of toys that your little one likes, but doesn't see for a couple of weeks before the flights. They should be small and not have a lot of little pieces (legos are a bad idea!). This way you know she'll like the toys, but since she hasn't seen them they will be new again.
And bring your own snacks. Kids are picky!

Thank You! I wanted to message to add us to your page, which is beautiful by the way, but i don't have enough posts yet! LOL
I was also worried if it would be to overwhelming to put her in the oceanner club. I love the idea of a day at the spa and her somewhere safe but i worry. Any advice?

Welcome:goodvibes
And you have a new ticker:thumbsup2

Does anyone know at what points on the PC cruise we'll move our clocks back for each time zone? I'm assuming we change our clocks 3 times since the east coast is 3 hours ahead of the west coast.

-Kathy

If I remember right I think we changed time zones about 4 times. With the way the canal runs we end up doing one twice I believe. If someone has their
Navigator please correct me.

I dont bake bread, but I love to bake. Since we are trying to fill up our last pages I am adding a few cake photos. Nothing at all to do with DCL just bragging, lol.

Okay, I usually try to multi quote but since we are trying get this thread shut down I will do my answers one at a time.

These cakes are absolutely amazing. It is no wonder you took all the prizes.

:welcome:Tiggrlady, I remember when I first found the Dis Forums just before my second Disney cruise. I read for months before I became brave enough to post. But these are great people and they really make you feel comfortable. As you can see from count I am not nearly as shy as I was. :lmao::welcome:

:welcome: tiggrlady and family. Your post count will creep right up there quickly - it is amazing how fast it can move.

AMAZING!! I took a Wilton class when I was pregnant with my oldest and had a lot of fun doing it. Fondant is something I have never tried, only buttercream. I got pretty good at roses but then Ben was born and that was that.

The Dry Wipe Group has added it's 20th person/couple and we are going to close it here. We will be making a list of anyone who may be interested in coming on board if someone has to drop out, though. If you are interested in being put on the waiting list PM me and I will see that you are added. :thumbsup2

I have seen your name numerous times throughout the boards so you must have blossomed out of your quiet shell! LOL thanks to everyone who has welcomed me and I hope to get lots of advice from you seasoned cruisers. Like how on earth can you afford to go on so many and some so close to each other! That's talent!!
