Marilyn and John,

It is great to see that you and John are going to be on this cruise. We had such great times at dinner in 2008. :cool1::yay:

Carol and Doug

Maybe we can all hook up for dinner? You and Doug, Marilyn & John, me & Tyler, Heather, Tom & Bethany, Cheri, Jackie, and anybody else I'm forgetting. :goodvibes

That sounds great!! Our drive will be a little longer, about 25 minutes.....but it sure beats a long flight!!! :thumbsup2

Yep...sure beats a 14 hour flight home!

Just read on the 28/9 booking/price thread that cat 6A rooms only hold 3? We currently have 3 rooms at cat 6A GTY and there will be 4 in each room. WIll this be a problem?

They will have LOTS of playmates in their age group. :thumbsup2

I'll probably play in Disneyland Fri and Sat and drive home on Sunday with NotSoLittleMermaid. I'm about 5 1/2 hours from there.

I was thinking about getting a DLR annual pass for my birthday this year...perhaps I should wait till the end of January, so cruise arrival date will be covered. :scratchin

Hmmmmm....looks like I'll be skewing the WBTA/WBPC side-by-side comparison sheet a bit. It's becoming apparent which one I'd rather do!

.
Good, we're going to DL Fri & Sat too (and I think Heather, Tom & Bethany are too). :yay:

We are at the villas (actually the newly installed pool) as I type...I don't think you will be disapointed.

I walked over there Friday and, I was not impressed at all. The new pool was a big let down. No themeing what so ever. They could have done such a better job there. But I have never been that impressed with the Grand Californian. I mean it USC rip off of the Wliderness Lodge and the name is a rip off of the Grand Floridian. No Disney Ceeativity is assosiated with that resort in my opinion. Glad you are enjoying yourself though.

We just transfered our WB TA repo to the EB PC repo, and we are stoked...staying at the Grand California Villas while getting the PC repo...how can you lose? (Although the PC repo in a cat4b seems rather, well, EXPENSIVE!)

We were there over the weekend...we had the same view from our villa...loved it!

I think IC must love me...I just got off of the phone with DCL...seems IC gave me another cabin! So I have 2 IC cabins and the one I booked thru a transfer!

Released it back into inventory...CM said he couldn't figure out why they would give me another if I already cancelled the first one! :rotfl2:

If you signed up today, please check post #1. If your info is not listed please PM me your first names, cabin#, children's ages and main or late dining. Thanks and welcome!

My mom and I are trying to do this again we had to cancel the last time we booked a PC Cruise with Disney :( but hoping this time is the right time!

Myself- Amy (28 at the time of cruise)
My Mother- Angela (55 at the time of cruise)
Late Dining
Cat. 07 5th Deck 5132

We will only have to get airfare one way as we are close to Port Canaveral but will have to figure out how we will get to the port, and from the airport to the apartment at the end which is a new predicament since we only just moved to Orlando.

We are so excited to be planning this cruise!

Hey everyone calling in from Bay Lake Tower - what an amazing place.
I've talked Jeff into doing the master list for the cruise. We have alot of webspace we can use for the list like we did on the last PC cruise. So you can PM tigfanjeff or me and we will get the web page for the cruise started. It's going to take a week or so since we are at WDW for this week.

Okay..we played a silly game on our last PC..atleast on the thread... if you managed to be the 1000th post (or 2K, 3K, etc) you got to add something to your siggy..we did pirates of course..but we all had fun doing it so if you want to play..I thought maybe the  since we are the WDW with love thread...

Please tell him THANK YOU! :thanks:It will be so great to have a dedicated website! I'm also hoping he will be participating in the design ideas?? I love the one he did for the 05 PC cruise!

Isn't BLT great!! We stayed there in August. Did you go to the top yet to watch the fireworks? It was so nice to be able to watch the fireworks from there...no crowd, music is piped in and you could even sit inside and enjoy a cocktail while you watch. We are planning a family vacation there next October. There will be 15 of us and we are combining points to get the grand villa.

I will tell him, but he'll be watching the thread now and participating. He's still sore over the crap that happened at Castaway Cay last PC cruise we were on.
We missed the fireworks thus far, but my mom and Jack have seen them. We ran into some horrific customer/ guest service today at the Magic Kingdom and needed to file a "grievance" with City Hall. We'll see them tomorrow or Wednesday I think.
We LOVE BLT. It's awesome. Every little detail is great. This was a family reunion of sorts based on Jack's birthday. So having all the little extras, including Top of the World was great.
Still no luck with upgrading our rooms on the cruise. I have a feeling we're in for a wait. We're pestering guest services daily now.

I'm so sorry your DH had a bad experience on the last PC cruise. I hope he can put that behind him and look forward to this being a new adventure.

For the most part, people on and associated with the DIS are a great, fun, caring bunch. But, as with any group this hugh, not everyone has the "Disney" spirit all the time.

Here's looking forward to new beginnings!:flower1:

We're booked.:thumbsup2 Not in the Cat we requested but we might be able to change later. I don't know the cost yet, but am pleased to read the prices haven't gone up from last week. That is only fair I think.

Yea, Im so glad youre going Marilyn!

We got ours too, cat 5c,cabin 6104. We wanted lower actually but to have a verandah she said that was it . The one time we might want a downgrade due to price LOL Its just so soon after the Baltic cruise ! I see lots of OT in my future :)

How was your checkin experience at Contemporary? Ours was not good, encountered one rude CM and then we were given keys to a room that was still occupied! Luckily, they had the door ajar and we saw there suitcase. Had to walk al the we back to Contemporary to get new room. Couldn't even complain because the mgr was on the phone and I was not wasting anymore of my precious vacation time. Not a good way to start vacation but after we got in our room it was great. Our DD LOVED the pool area.

Funny you should mention that. They checked us in under a different family with the same very common last name. We only caught it when we looked at our keys. Then it took until after 4 for our room to be ready.
Thus far we have had a less than spectacular guest service experience.

He knows that. Two of our best friends we met on DIS. However, if I told you the story of what happened, you'd understand why he is gun-shy. It was two people being idiots and putting their noses where they absolutely didn't belong.
He is looking at the cruise with new eyes since we know a lot more people on it and we're traveling with family and friends.
