from VWL to TrailsEnd Buffeteria

Anyone know the best way to get from the villas to Trails End? Could we walk? Bike? Looking forward to our first trip home to VWL and thought this might be a fun spot for lunch or dinner when not doing the parks. Thanks for any info.

We took the boat from the wilderness lodge over to the Fort Wilderness. There is a walk way but we were there in the summer and didn't feel like walking. The boat ride is very short and relaxing.

You could also take the bus that goes back and forth from VWL and FW.

The walk is about a mile....but it is very nice as it cuts through the woods. We've seen deer along the path, and the vegetation is lush.


But if its at night....take the boat or a bus.

Biking during the day is great fun to FW. About a 10 min. leisure ride.

Granny- you are right about the deer. Just got our film back from last VWL trip and had 2 pics of the deer we saw while riding bikes back to the lodge. They just stood there and let us admire and photograph them. What a wonderful sight.
