They only allow 12 choices on the DIS, so I picked 12 of my favorites...... I know many of you will not find your favorite in these 12 choices.

I picked Brady bunch, but my true favorite was Laverne & Shirley.

I picked Newhart, but Mary Tyler Moore is close 2nd!!!!

Family members are going to see him tonight and meet him backstage - I am sooo jealous!!!!

Too hard! I have some favorites that I liked equally, but I played.

All in the Family all the way! I miss edgy TV like that, I am hoping this current era of political correctness ends soon.

Happy Days! It was the first TV program my parents let me stay up past 8pm to watch on school nights.

Me too! They wouldn't let me watch Laverne & Shirley though - too much adult humour for them! So I spent the 80s watching it in reruns!:rotfl:

This is how I feel too. There's a DVD collection of his shows. I had to buy it. Bob and Emily were so funny. And Howard:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think MTM and Bob Newhart were, at their best, easily the funniest of this list.

I went with MASH for longevity and because it's the one I remember most.

All In The Family was strong at times, straining at others. I don't miss it's un-PC-ness (I don't think any era of television that has both Family Guy and South Park running, or even subtler stuff like 30 Rock and The Office, or most of drive time radio, could exactly be called censorious for political correctness) but I do miss shows that show people living in houses that AREN'T 3500 sq ft showroom displays, though.

The "dramas" on there I don't miss at all, but I remember liking Quincy a little.

Wasn't Taxi on in the 80s? I have to go Wiki that.

M*a*s*h

don't know why the DIS won't leave it capitolized.

Taxi's years for 78 to 82, which makes it valid, I guess. Almost the exact same years as WKRP, as it turns out...

... in which case my answer is WKRP.

:happytv: At the time, Love boat was my favorite, but I voted for MASH because it's the only one I can still stand to watch. The rest are just so, so cheesy :rotfl2:

Well, in that case, Three's Company aired from '77 to '84, which would make it my #1 choice, but choosing from this list only, I went with Happy Days.

Mod Squad!!!:goodvibes

I wanted to be Julie and could never decide if I wanted to marry Pete or Linc!:lmao:

I recently bought the first season on DVD and spend most of the episodes giggling at the clothes, the phrases they used. So dated and I still love it so much. :lovestruc
