You haven't seen Lion King?

You're going to be there on Saturday and Sunday the 16th and 17th - is that right? Maybe you can ride Tower of Tara with Brooklynn. ::yes::

Nope. Haven't seen Lion King.

Or Nemo. Or Beauty and the Beast. Or Fantasmic. :rolleyes1

If you could only recommend one of the above, which would it be? :confused3

Yes, I will be there that weekend. :thumbsup2 I'm arriving on Thursday the 14th ~11am and would love to catch up.

Nothing like a brave 4 year old to shame you into going on a ride! :rotfl2:

CHRISTINE!!! You are hereby on DIS probation! :sad2: :rotfl2:

I would recommend Beauty and the Beast.

Because I haven't seen Nemo or Lion King, either... :rolleyes1

Another great update Memom! I love FOTLK, and the Nemo show too. They are two of Carter's favorite movies, so I think he will love them too. I have a feeling I'll be spending more time watching him than the shows this time!

I have another question for you and Jill, I hope I don't turn into a pest this last week, but I've never traveled with a toddler before and you two are a great source of info here. Anyway, I think this is an easy one, I've never really looked for Halloween costumes at Disney before, but Cindy wants to wait until we're down there before we get one for Carter. He keeps changing his mind on what he wants to be, so she thought we'd just go to DTD our first night and let him pick something. I think the World of Disney has costumes, but since I've never looked for them, I'm not sure. Do you know if they carry them all the time. Since the halloween parties are starting I feel confident they will have them, but I would hate to get there and not find anything. It's always harder finding good costumes for little boys anyway. Thanks for any info you (or anyone else) have!

Terri

Hey MeMom! I'm caught up again! I love all the details you notice. I guess I'm always to distracted most of the time. I wil try to take more time to notice things this time. We will be there for 7 days so I won't feel as rushed to do everthing.

We leave in 4 weeks(29 days to be exact) and I have a feeling it will fly by. I went today to my Ortho doctor and got a shot in my knee. I have to go back 2 days before we leave to get another one. He said they might help some, but short of a knee replacement it's all they can do. He is going to give me something for the pain to help, but he strongly suggested a scooter. He says they take their kids to Disney and that is a lot of walking for people without feet and knee problems. I didn't tell him my husband balked at that idea. Denny says if I need a scooter I need to stay home. Yeah he would rather go to the beach. (People who don't have trouble walking just can't understand the pain in every step)He says I am way overdue for my replacement, but I am trying to put it off as long as I can. I don't think it will be much longer.

On top of that the 14th Ty will be having tubes put in his ears. We are so glad. He has had 8 ear infections just since January. The doctor said it will be much easier for him to fly if we get them before our trip. No argument from me. I dread the flight anyway Ty will be hard to entertain for 2 hours on a plane.:) I bet he will really start talking after the tubes, because he talks all the time but we don't understand much of it. lol Just from reading what Bella says she is way ahead of him on talking. He has about 10 words that I can understand. The rest is jibberish.

And speaking of things that I have never done at Disney. I always miss the parade at AK. I swore I was gonna catch it last November, but I didn't so that is on my list for this trip.

I wish I could be at the Atlanta meet. I will really, really try to make the Nashville meet. I'll just have to tell all my people Momma has plans that weekend. I got put on the spot for the Memphis meet. This time I'm not gonna let that happen.

Have a wonderful weekend! Hope you get to see the babies and your baby on their way back home !from KY

We also love FOTLK! Doug has said it's an absolute must do non negotiable. So, I guess we will be going!

Stasieki- Your girls are just beautiful!! I love the photos!

Thank you so much:goodvibes.

Memom - thank you, too, for the compliments on the girls. We can't wait for our next meet. If the Hippo isn't ready for us by Christmas, we will come anywhere. I wish we could go to Atlanta next weekend, but Abby has a birthday party she can't wait to go to on the 11th. It is at a local children's store that has a special room where they do tea parties and provide all the dress up clothes. We were supposed to go visit my family in Atlanta this weekend but we decided a weekend of nothing (except a soccer game for abby) was best for us.

Happy Labor Day, everyone!

Yay for Disney next month!

FOTLK is wonderful, it's one show I can never get tired of seeing :goodvibes

Have a good 3 day weekend! :)

I will hopefully be in the air by 10:41am. My flight on the 11th leaves MCO at 4:40 so I will be over Atlanta 5:15 or so? I think I will miss the meet. Since Magical Depress will pick us up areound 1, I guess while everyone is meeting I will be killing time at the airport. trying to cure the boredom of a 16 year old. You know sometimes he still like the toddler he used to be. I guess I will spend time in the food court andall will be good.

He probably will pass on the whole thing so he can ride Everest over and over again. :upsidedow I guess it will be just me and the tumble monkeys.
And a few hundred other people.

I am very jealous of you right now! I may text you later in the day to see what you are up to!

Just for all you Airtran non-fans. haters was too strong of a word
I have been deperately trying to do on-line check ALL DAY. I finally called and asked if there was a problem with the website.
Agent - Um no, the webite is working
Me- Well I am trying to check in and I am having trouble
Agent - Oh the online check in is not working
Me %#$%%%^ ( no not really ) Well is there another solution?
Agent- You can check in at the gate.
Me-in my best whine- But I don't want to check in at the gate, I want to do it online.
Agent -But the online check in is down.
Me- Is someone working on this? Do we have an estimate of maybe when it will be up?
Agent - They are working on it but I don't know when it will be up.

GRRRRR I am not fond of these kinks in my plans. :headache:
that and I am a bit spoiled.

I have heard too many horror and 'glitch' stories about Airtran. If I was just traveling to Anywhere, USA, I wouldn't mind so much, but when I board a plane, it is to go to Disney World, and I want ZERO glitches. We've had good experiences with Southwest, so I'm sticking with that until that changes.

Nothing like a brave 4 year old to shame you into going on a ride!

We're going to Animal Kingdom Sunday the 17th. You are welcome to join us for Lion King and Nemo.

Fantasmic would be my first choice of the four you have mentioned, because it's on a huge stage and has so many different elements. You wouldn't have to choose between it and any of the others, because it runs at night and the others will be over by then.

Nemo would have a slight edge over Lion King, to me, and then Beauty and the Beast, but it's so hard to say. They are all well worth seeing, and I hope you can get to all of them!

CHRISTINE!!! You are hereby on DIS probation! :sad2: :rotfl2:

Put them HIGH on your list for next time!

You will spend a lot of time watching him.
And smiling and what you see.

They'll be moe expensive in Disney World, of course, but it will be fun to buy one there. They have tons of costumes all year long. It will be a fun start to the trip to let him pick something in DTD the first night. Great idea!

Ask away all week long. We love talking Disney! :dance3:

Hopefully travel will be easier on Ty (and all of you) with his tubes. I am glad you are getting some relief for your knee. Mine is still not wonderful, but it is way better than it was this time last year. ::yes::

I hope you get to see the Jammin' Jungle parade. :cool1:

We'll do another Hippo Meet when our hippo gets things back in order.

I'm not sure when they are going to come back through. I think they wanted to just spend Monday at home, so I'm guessing they'll be through here Sunday afternoon.

Thank you so much:goodvibes.

Yay for Disney next month!

Have a good 3 day weekend!

I never tire of seeing any of those wonderful Disney shows. I really do wonder how many days I could stay there until I truly spoke the words, "I want to go home."

It will be a quiet weekend on the homefront. I have some school stuff to do, but I'm just going to do it in spurts as I feel like it. I hope to be able to put up another update this weekend, too. Jill was going to load pictures before she left, but I think in all the packing, she forgot. Unless she has her laptop with her, I'll have to wait until she gets home, so it could be Sunday night or Monday.

I saw the pictures of Magic Kingdom decorated for fall. I am ready to see it in person again!

I thought about you guys when I saw these at Walmart :goodvibes they would have been perfect for Brooklynn's party!

We did have one! :cool1:
I found one at Walmart that was just laying in the wrong place. Can't remember where exactly. It was one dollar, so it was meant to be. :thumbsup2

Baby news over on the baby thread!! :goodvibes

We're having another DIS baby!
I have tears in my eyes - I am so excited!
If he gets here before midnight, he'll share a birthday with Trent! :goodvibes

I told her this morning (before she 'really' knew) that if I didn't have a 5mo old sleeping in his little crib I would SO be in the car and down there!!! I can't wait to see pics and to meet the little one!! :goodvibes

There is baby news??? Yaaa!
Memom.....and your little boy is one year older too!!!

Happy Birthday to both boys!

Congratulations Dawn and Ray! I saw Seth's picture over on the baby thread and he is gorgeous.

Have we decided where the Atlanta Meet will be? I am really looking forward to meeting everybody and visiting the Disney Store because................

We just booked a trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My " I don't really care about going to Disney but I go because my wife and kids like it." DH suggested that we book a trip for Free Dining. We were planning on going to Universal in April because DH wanted a break from Disney. However, he overheard the boys talking about Star Wars Weekends and how much fun they had when we went in June. So last night, he said to book a trip. I didn't do it until tonight because I think I was in shock. We are going June 2- June 8, staying in the Family Suites at All Star Music( my Mom is going with us) with free quick service dining. I am so excited!!! We have never used the dining plan before so I might need some help from all of you. :yay:

Hi Everyone!
Hope you are all having a great day. :goodvibes The weather is just beautiful here in GA. I think it is the nicest day we have had since May. Hopefully, there will be a repeat performance next weekend for your trip here.

Just wondering if there are any specific plans yet? Place? Time? I am so excited to meet everyone. :yay:

Memom...it looks like our trip in Oct will barely overlap. We are arriving on the 14, doing MK on the 15 and checking out on the 16....then going to Cocoa Beach for 2 days. It seems this always happens with us. :confused3

Who had a baby????? Please do tell. Congratulations!!!

Brooklynn is braver than my sister when it comes to riding BTMRR and all the "scary" rides. (My sister's words, not mine.)

The upcoming ATL Dismeet sounds great! If I wasn't near a Chick-Fil-A now, I'd be right along with Wigd saying eat some for me.

I remember being younger and being deathly afraid of those scary automatic flushing toilets.:scared1:

Simply adorable photopass pictures.:thumbsup2

October plans look exciting. Is this trip too packed to squeeze in a meet up at a resort?:rolleyes1

BTW, YAYY for Disney next month!!!:dance3:

Baby news over on the baby thread!! :goodvibes

Congratulations Dawn and Ray. (At first I was a little confused:confused:, "What baby thread? How much have I missed out on? Then I put 2 and 2 together and remembered. My time away doing homework is crowding my head. lol:lmao:)

All caught up again. I hope I don't fall far behind again.

Maybe if she feels like a drive next Saturday or Sunday mid-morning before we leave, we will get to see him - at least sitting in his carseat. Maybe we can just do a drive-by meet. She'll probably be ready to get out of the house, and we could just peek in on him in the car, if she didn't want anyone around him that soon. I'll talk to her this week.

Yes, my little boy is a huge 'grub'-eating monster now, but he's still my little boy. I still have visions of him spending hours with his Little Tikes basketball goal. He's turned out to be a good man. I don't pine away for his childhood, though. It does go fast, and it is fun when they are little, but I like my big kids a whole lot, too. :)

We are all so excited for Dawn and Ray, who will be awesome parents! ::yes::
It will be fun to watch them learn this whole new type of love.

I know nothing of Star Wars things, but even I thought the parade was cool, and I know all the SW fans were loving buying the special merchandise and getting autographs and such. We'll look forward to your review of the All-Star Music Suites, since we have never stayed in them. I booked them once, but then we decided two connecting rooms would to accomodate our group and our needs better. We still stayed at Music, though. We like Music. :thumbsup2

It was a beautiful Saturday here, too. We had a nice break in the heat. I opened the windows and let the breeze come through.

Since Dawn has had her baby now, I am guessing she will not want to come out in the crowd, so it may be best to meet at the mall that Jackie and Heather want to meet at. Then again, Dawn may be up for a ride to the food court door and we could all go peek in the car window at him. Then another again is that Heather and Jackie are down there close, so they could set up another meet in a few weeks with Dawn, if they wanted. SO, not much help, as of now. I would guess we'll have a firm meeting mall by Wednesday after everyone kind of throws their thoughts out.

We will probably be going to Magic Kingdom on Saturday morning, the 16th.

All caught up again. I hope I don't fall far behind again.

We'll probably be eating midday meals at resorts so that we can hook up with Trent, who will not have a park ticket. We'll be in Magic Kingdom Saturday, so I would want to go to Poly, of course. Sunday, we'll be in Animal Kingdom, but since it closes at 5, we'll have the evening with him. We're thinking of maybe going to the Boardwalk, or I would like to take him to POR/POFQ, because he has not seen either of those. That might be a good choice, and then we could boat back to DTD. Jill and Brook may go try to catch Tower of Terror that night on the last few hours of Brooklynn's AP. Monday, we're doing Epcot. Not sure where we might meet him to eat yet. Tuesday is our last day, and we're not doing a park. Just DTD and hanging out at SSR. Between all of that, maybe you can line up a time that works for you to come over. :)

****************************************

What a beautiful way to start a week! Pretty weather here, the thought of Dawn and Ray gazing down at their new son, a day off tomorrow, my girls coming this afternoon...

It will be a good day! :)

You guys enjoy the rest of your hopefully long weekend. We look so forward to meeting up with some of you on Saturday. It will be so much fun!

Jill was not able to load pictures, so she'll do that when she gets home, and we'll continue our day in Animal Kingdom.

Thoughts and prayers for all who were/are affected by Earl or bad weather situations stemming from that.

Happy Sunday, friends!!!

It's such a lovely day today...I have my coffee brewing & waffles getting ready, and then I think I'll catch up in TRs and PTRs.

Have a fabulous day, everyone!!!! And congrats on the new baby, Dawn!!! :)

It was nice again today. Church this morning. Picked up a few groceries afterward. Piddled around the house until the girls came. Jill and John went to dinner and a movie. The girls and I ate spaghetti and played outside. They love bubble toys, so we did that. Brooklynn watched Sword and the Stone while Bella cooked a few Fisher-Price Little People in the play kitchen oven. She also turned circles in the middle of the floor for several minutes and ate three pieces of cheese. She's tired, but I'm trying to keep her up a little longer in hopes that she will sleep later in the morning for Jill.

Texted with Trent. He got to enjoy some relaxing and some football for his birthday weekend. Drew did a dog show shoot yesterday and then one of his friends who had just had a baby brought her over. She's precious - 6 lbs. 2 oz., I think she said, and lots of dark hair. They are very young, though. I hope it all goes well for them.

Jill is spending the night here, so no pictures until tomorrow.

I like Sunday nights better when there is no school the next day. :thumbsup2 I hope most of you get tomorrow off, as well.

Brooklyn did Dinosaur like Miren did - just once! She rode first with Ramon and then was going to ride with me. We had a baby swap so we walked right in to the movie part. As soon as the doors opened to the loading area, she said she didn't want to go. I really wanted to. I like this ride and haven't been on it since before she was born, so over 6 years. I was a little upset. It was not my finest moment. :sad2:

**************************************

Brooklynn pretend-played this game for free.

Love the look on her face!! :cutie:

I may be looking for these NEXT MONTH! :)

By the way...

We go to Disney NEXT MONTH!!!!!!

:woohoo: :dance3: :woohoo:

This is so exciting, because that means we are just behind you by a couple of weeks!:goodvibes

So are we!! :yay:

I posted the news on my TR with some plans. Oh, and maybe an update or two.

Congratulations to Dawn and Ray!!!!!!!!! I'm going over to her thread now.

Happy Birthday, Trent!!

MeMom, you mentioned Trent's AP expired - you know now that he's a Florida resident he can get the resident rate and is eligible to pay it in monthly payments. I'm sure you know this, but just wanted to remind you. :goodvibes

The one day I don't come on the DIS, a baby is born! Congrats Dawn and Ray!!!

I just got home a little while ago from the Red Sox game. The Sox lost but we still had fun. The seats were amazing! The poor 4 year old boy in front of me got hit in the head by a foul ball :guilty: He cried a little, but he was okay. And the player that hit the foul ball came over and brought him an autographed ball :lovestruc

We're having a cookout tomorrow since it's Josh's day off :) I finally figured out when Jeremy, Leslie, and Caleb are coming down  Next weekend :dance3:
